It was clean if a bit tired and needs of a lick of paint. The staff sorted problems when they came up, and they did come up. Not the properties fault, the neighbours were inconsiderate with music, noise, shouting etc. Had to move rooms, which didn't help that much as we only moved one down.

We booked this as it was sufficiently close to Santander and it was our last night, so somewhere that should have been nice and quiet and tucked away was what we were after after four weeks of travelling. This isn't what we got thanks to the neighbours! It is a lovely setting and should have been peaceful, it just wasn't. Breakfast was an addition €6.00 and there was choice, yoghurts, cakes, pastries, cheese and ham, toast, coffee not so great, certainly not cortado but after the night we had any caffeine was appreciated. I can see why it's 1 star hotel with tired rooms, no shops or restaurants close to hand, no opportunity to buy drinks or dinner on site or close by but, if you're over nighting only give it a go it's not all bad, hopefully you won't get the same issue we had. The location is wonderful and the staff did try to help. It is clean and breakfast is available for additional money so not bad really. Oh they also provide a bottle of water for you, which was a refreshing change to some of the places we've stayed at and they were apparently 4 star hotels!!! Lighting is terrible, do take a torch. 😂
