Very calm place. Nice building and yeard. Delicious food in 4 courses dinner and amazing eggs in breakfast. Very cosy dinning hall. And friendly black cat 😁

Exceptional

The resort is located in a very quiet place with picturesque nature around. The property itself was just stunning - a cozy and romantic farmhouse. We were positively surprised by the size of the room and the fact that even without the air conditioning, the room was relatively cold for a comfortable night's sleep. The staff was amazing - the owners attended to all our needs and requests and were generally very friendly. The resort offers a cooking class which was a great way how to spend an evening and learn how to prepare traditional types of pasta. We spent quite a few days hiking. There are a couple of places you can hike to - Monterchi, Citerna, Sansepolcro, and a number of "castellos" located on the hills around the resort. The nearest town of Anghiari was the cutest little medieval town we had ever seen.

Authentical accommodation with great hosts

We felt so very welcome and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house was beautiful and fully met our expectations. Also the surroundings offer many possibilities. We did a cooking course in the hotel, which was much fun.

Beautiful B&B on a perfect location in the middle of the nature, clean, big rooms, lovely people and with delicious home-cooked lunch and dinner options on request. We loved it here and definitely go back.

Beautiful location, unfortunately not our type of stay

the location is really pretty, the view from the terrace was amazing, the breakfast was also really nice. the room was large and spacious. The wifi was average. So if you need to work it was not that comfortable.

The thing that we didn’t like is that we had the feeling that we were kind of invisible to the hosts/owners and that it was difficult to connect (sometimes literally, we couldn’t find them on the property or reach them). We felt that other guests didn’t have that problem so it could be that we didn’t match with the hosts/owners which off course is possible, or that it’s a good fit for people who like the ‘distance’ that we felt (who like to be left alone a bit more on their holiday). Usually we want to connect with the owners, that’s also the reason we normally don’t go to a hotel. Furthermore, we found the dinner a little bit too expensive for what we received and the type of food didn’t feel really ‘typical’ Italian to us.

Everything was really perfect. It is beautiful place and is excellent for discovering the surrounding. Room was very nice and comfortable. The swimming pool is quite big in the very nice garden. The breakfast was tasty. The biggest experience for us was really very friendly and kind owners.

The breakfast was very good, the staff was very nice and ready to help. The pool was good and clean, but the water was a little bit cold. The surroundings are beautiful and relaxing, not far from Anghiari, but without a car is quite difficult to travel around.

In the description of the property it is mentioned that there is a restaurant in house, but that is not quite true. The breakfest was nice but for lunch we had to talk to the staff (which is very friendly and nice) with a couple of hours in advance in order to get something to eat. The food was very good, mainly salads and vegetables (cold food), but there isn't a 'a la carte' meniu available.

Nice and quiet holiday in Tuscany

The accommodation is located in a quiet place between the vineyards and fields just about 2 kilometres from the medieval town of Anghiari (full of stone houses, restaurants and narrow picturesque streets). So after a delicious Tuscan dinner and wine you can sleep well without being disturbed in the morning. The hotel has its own swimming pool with sun beds. Everything was perfectly clean and cleaned every day. The bathroom in our room even had a bidet. Dania (the hotel-keeper) was always helpful to fulfil our wishes. However, she was the only person in the staff who could communicate in English.

There were just minor things that we didn't like much. A small fridge was placed INSIDE a wooden wardrobe, so we didn't use it (to avoid any possible fire). As there are quite a lot of mosquitoes, mosquito nets in windows (and repellents) are essential. Unfortunately, one of ours was broken, so we got bitten several times. There is no air conditioning, but there was a fan to be used. It wasn't necessary because the nights were quite cold (about 15 degrees at the beginning of August). Due to Covid-19 restrictions, breakfast wasn't buffet-style, but they would prepare you what you like anyway.

The Il Cardo Resort is a very lovely and beautiful resort. The food they serve is always fresh and organic. Mostly they use vegetables and herbs from their own garden. They really take care of our environment. Dania and her husband are very kind and friendly. I can highly recommend this resort!

Struttura immersa nel verde, accogliente e curata nei minimi particolari. Ottima la qualità della colazione.

Avevo letto che si poteva cenare in struttura ma su due notti in cui abbiamo pernottato ci hanno risposto che la cucina era chiusa e questo ha comportato doverci spostare in macchina per cercare ristoranti dato che non c’è nulla intorno raggiungibile a piedi. Vi consiglio di chiedere prima nel caso.

De hele entourage is betoverend en op schootsafstand van alweer een fantastische historische stad. Verzorgd tot in de puntjes en met veel smaak. Het ontbijt was een feestje van sfeer, persoonlijke aandacht, geen buffetvorm maar gedekte tafels en verzorging tot in detail.

We kwamen erachter dat een rond bed ons wat van slag maakt en in de badkamer hangt een douchegordijn in een ligbad en de douchekop heeft geen douchestang, zodat je die in de hand moet houden. Verder was deze badkamer tip top in orde.

Authentischer Aufenthalt in der Toskana, abseits der Touristikzentren.

Aufwendig und hübsch restaurierte alte Gebäude, sehr authentisch. Sehr freundliche Aufnahme in der Unterkunft; hilfreiche Angebote vom Vermieter für die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung. Täglich frisch zusammengestelltes und variierendes und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück mit frischen Obst. Großzügiger und aufgeräumter Garten mit Pool und Liegeflächen sowie zur Wohnung gehörige Terrassenflächen. Die Zimmer waren dank starkem Mauerwerk und sehr guter Verschattung trotz hoher Außentemperaturen noch kühl. Das Appartement für 4 Personen ist für 2 Personen ideal und notwendig.

Sehr kleines Bad (kleine Dusche). Fehlende Klimaanlage für die sehr heißen Sommermonate. Restaurantangebot nur auf ausdrücklicher Nachfrage. Keine durchgängige Küche, keine Speisekarte.

Dolce vita

Tout, du petit déjeuner avec les délicieuses confitures de Pierre, aux conseils attentionés de Dania pour les visites dans cette région magnifique. Cet endroit est idéal pour se reposer , c est calme, serein, grand, la piscine est idéale et la chambre fraîche et confortable. C est le parfait endroit pour visiter la Toscane, mais aussi lOmbrie, Anghiari, Sienne, Assise, Arezzo.... Nous reviendrons c est certain

Prima , maar te duur voor wat je krijgt.

Lekker zwembad en aardige moeder van de eigenaar die op vakantie was. Dorp Anchiari is echt schattig en je kan er heerlijk eten.

Kwamen er pas de laatste dag achter dat je ook kaas- worst en eieren bij ontbijt kon bestellen. Dat wordt niet verteld. Kregen alleen taart. Er wordt bij Booking genoemd dat er een mogelijkheid tot dineren ter plaatse is. Dit bleek bij ons niet te kunnen omdat eigenaar op vakantie was. Dorp is niet op loopafstand, echt auto nodig. Geen airco is niet aan te raden in de zomermaanden. Het was echt te warm in de kamer die ook geen balkon of terras had. Kamer niet echt schoon. Kleine douche en doorgezakt bed.

Location affascinante, una cascina immersa nella natura umbra. Vasca idromassaggio personale nella suite. Piscina ma non abbiamo usufruito perchè fuori stagione.

Sebbene la stanza fosse stata pulita, e la biancheria da letto e da bagno fossero in perfetto ordine, suggerisco di controllare periodicamente anche i tendaggi, c'era polvere e un ragno morto. Stanza un po' fredda. Colazione dolce e salata che non sempre incontra il gusto di tutti (troppa pasta sfoglia per il salato, poco pane fresco, poca pasticceria classica da colazione).
