Thank God it was only for one night!

The position to walk to the center was nice!

Thank God it was only for one night! I had high hopes for Caravella based on its “boutique hotel” label, but the reality was hugely disappointing. We arrived to find no staff on site, everything had been arranged via WhatsApp beforehand. When I called to ask how to use the electric car charger, no one could give me an answer, zero assistance. There was no interaction with staff, not even in the morning. How is this called a boutique experience? The room was claustrophobic, smelled of mold, and to make matters worse, I woke up in the middle of the night with ants in the bed. This was far from a boutique hotel more like an unattended rental. I would not recommend it, and I’m just glad we didn’t stay longer.

Beautiful Calm Place!

Really nice place! Costly but that is the location! We were very pleased with the friendly staff (the young lady at administration & front desk) always helpful! And the lady making and taking care of breakfast is a gem! You really feel the positive hospitality vibe! Such a pleasure! Thank You.

The hotel is on the outskirts of Velden, but still a short walk, about 10-15 minutes, from the centre. I guess the building has recently been renovated and the lounge area is warm and cosy. Even though we had our room facing the main road it wasn't noisy at night (it's winter so our windows were shut, I don't know if it's still quite in summer during the Sportwagentreffen).

As breakfast was described as "exceptional" I was expecting a little more variety of food and hopefully more options for vegans. As at the time of booking I hadn't been made aware that we would have had to self check-in, at our arrival we were left disappointed to find a vacant reception with no one in sight but a phone number to call in case of need. We arrived early, before checking-in time and before receiving our room codes via email, still we hoped to find a member of staff to inform we would have left our car in the parking area and register our arrival. The room was bright with a very comfy bed, but the shower had no door and the bathroom glass door was stuck and wouldn’t close, so when having a shower water drops would end up on the floor near the bed. Our room was next to the bar and breakfast area making it quite noisy if you want to sleep after 6:30am.

The hotel was overall very neat and clean. It's located in a good place. The staff is very friendly and supportive.

The family room had limited curtains and the lights at balcony disturbed a lot during the sleep and it wasn't possible to cover the windows fully.

Quiet and Comfortable Hotel

The management were very accommodating. It was a very pleasant stay. There's a nice walk up through the forest and to a couple of lakes that culminated in a nice lunch at a lakeside Gasthaus.

The maids entered my room twice even though the Do Not Disturb sign was clearly visible.

Great & cozy place to stay at if you don't want to pay a lot and stay at some big hotel

Super host! Very nice and cozy place to stay at. Like arriving to home. We were late and arrived at the hotel close to midnight, noone was there by that time, but still everything worked great - had a lovely note from the manager with all the instructions for getting into our room etc, fridge full of beer & sparkling, everything nice, clean & quiet. Breakfast was also very good. And although it's a bit away from the main square etc, it's easily walkable, just a nice stroll and there you are right in the center.

Stayed in 5 hotels during my drive across Europe and this one was the worst value for money

There's a big terrace. We didn't have time to enjoy it but it is a lovely addition. The room was clean and the bed really comfortable.

The reception is open till 18:00. If you arrive later, they send you a code to access the room but you're on your own to find everything. This so called family room was pocket size. With the sofa rolled out for sleeping there was no place to sit in the living area. The bed occupies all space of the bedroom leaving 50cm passages between the bed and walls. The same applies to the bathroom, barely 2.5 sqm. A/C leds in the living area were emitting so much light at night that the kids could not sleep. Had to invent a makeshift solution to cover them. The breakfast was fine but I had to chase staff for everything (yoghurt finished, water bottle empty, juice machine stuck etc etc).

Adorable

Our stay was adorable. Cozy and small hotel by the lake (2nd line, 600m to the beach and other entertainments). Very comfortable beds. Breakfast was OK, but I would add more hot meals. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Thanks)

There was a shower just in the middle of family room without any curtains. Very strange design solution) Anyway the stuff kindly changed the room to more suitable one.
