Difficult communication with the hotel employees - Very little English

Great logistics for the airport pickup and the transfer all the way to the hotel, including the boat ride. Everything felt very smooth and well organized.

There was an unpleasant smell in the room, and communication with the staff was challenging since many of them had limited English. Breakfast was also below expectations.

Pleasant enough

The transfer service from Krabi airport. 2 swimming pools. Good restaurant. Spacious rooms. Breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT.

Reception staff needed better English, or atleast know how to use translate programs. I tried to book Spa treatments and massages for during our stay - I never got a reply for my booking requests. The swimming pools were lovely, but there was no handrail for assistance in or out of the pools. I don't have mobility issues like other guests did, but I have vision (depth perception) issues. I wasn't aware of Thailand's plumbing situation. NOT flushing toilet paper was a mental adjustment.

Don’t stay here

This hotel was very terrible at communication after multiple attempts to contact them and get information for transfers and important travel. These are things are essential when you’re planning ahead and trying to coordinate people. It’s kind of ridiculous that it took me five attempts to talk to the hotel and they finally got back to me days later. I had actually just decided to stay somewhere else because they were so terrible at communication. Their grounds are full of monkeys that attack people and that is also something to consider. It’s much more terrifying than the reviews were actually saying.

Ok for short stay

Good location near the pier, reception staff were lovely. Room nice size and decent shower.

Restaurant for breakfast wasn’t great, you had to write down your omelette order to be cooked no other hotel I’ve stayed in has ever done that and it was so slow! Room wasn’t checked properly had someone’s earring and a bottle lid left and not hidden either!

Beautiful escape from the crowds

2 pool options are fab and the reception staff were helpful. The restaurant and pools are a great, peaceful escape from the day trippers that descend on the beach.

We were in the older part of the hotel and the rooms need some TLC. Also an underlying smell in room due to toilet.

Avoid

Great location however hotel in dire need of some maintenance as rooms were very disappointing. Staff didn’t care, we engaged them in the hotel and one send an email about our issues. I’ve stayed in this hotel twice (3 years apart). I strongly recommend to avoid, our bathroom was worse than any hostel I’ve experienced.

Rooms have not been maintained - one room in our booking needed to be changed at as it was not clean when we checked in. Our room was in disrepair - air conditioning didn’t work, shower had water that didn’t drain, bathroom had mould and rust, towels had holes. Not a 4 star experience.

Nice hotel in the best Krabi beach.

What a location! 5 min walk to the best beach of Krabi and to the walking street.! Next to Pier, so you can go anywhere easily. Excellent breakfast too.

Noisy air-conditioning, but we didnt need it . Maybe more flexibility - on order to arrange for us transfer they needed our passport and prepayment in advance.

Incredible uncomfortable - could not wait to leave !

The two pool areas are very nice - especially the one by the lake. The cleaning crews do an excellent job of cleaning the rooms.

Dark and very worn down rooms - incredible damp - impossible to dry swimwear and towels both inside room and outside on balcony. Terrible smell of urine an sewer came and went several times. The hotels solution to this was to place some scented oil in the bathroom to mask the smell. Never saw two staff members smile at each other - and service was always slow, they did not seam motivated. The breakfast was average but everything else from the restaurant was terrible. Most of all I did not appreciate the 4 star hotel ranking - I’d call it an average 3 star.

Very dark Room, very noisy you could hear when they upstairs walk or move something, the breakfast buffet was ok but not more, please avoid to eat in the Restaurant, its absolutely lousy, the food the service total badly. The whole Hotel is not worth the high price.

Totally happy, clean, comfortable hotel in perfect location

The location of this Hotel is fabulous, two beautiful swimming pools. Minutes from the main centre and the West beach. Breakfast is excellent. Obviously at a cost to me, the Team organised my transportation from the Airport to the Hotel. I was extremely tired and very grateful.

Nothing to dislike really, Railey Beach as a whole is not the easiest place to get to.

Perfect holiday, my home in Railay

Towels, maybe due to high season. Beach towels were not changed for 6 days (would be nice to have fresh once or twice), either the shower towels (i don't mind tho). Since the room is an high value top tier, I would have expected for changes every day ($$$$). However not that big deal.

After 3 weeks of travelling Thailand previously to this reservation I can only say this stay and lack of resolve or comp

Location only

The property was very badly maintained... we was placed in block 5 floor 3 overlooking rubbish dump from front and back views of properties surrounding the hotel the smells was horrendous.... the area of this block of rooms which are also superior rooms which we bookend and paid extra for should be re-considered ground floor and possible floor 2 would not experience the same view however I cannot see how they would not experience the same smell and stench of the rubbish and wastage cans/tanks that are all on full view of this block (both block 2/3 would also experience the wastage problem too as video and photo evidence shows ) The hotel also has serious monkey control/contamination issues ... in block 5 we was made aware of this and even with lock placed on the door we returned on the second day to find two monkeys on our room ... they had broken into the room and taken all food drink from the fridge this was all over the floor and surfaces they stole my make up and all my prescribed medication ... all this was reported to staff at reception and cleaning staff ... along with the monkeys using the main swimming pool as their own personal bath/toilet o did not see one member of maintenance /cleaning staff in this area ... piles of dirty swimming towels had been piled up in an area of this pool and was there on arrival and still there as we departed ...unfortunately I was met with no response at all from the first report from management or even after I repeated my visit to reception to explain that all utensils such as glasses and cups and also surfaces in the room had not been cleaned properly I was unable to find any reliable response from staff ..our stay was for 2 nights and had it been any longer I would have attempted to move property... the only response I was given on the first day was that to move us with within the hotel would be another room in the same block same floor ..

I had a GREAT stay but dissapointed when checking out.

How GREAT the pool area was and the size of the property. Very luxurious compared to other hotel I stayed out.

They have a stuffed toy supposedly on every room before checking in. I didn't have a bird on my bed and when checking out was I asked many times about the bird. I'm 100% sure I didn't have one in my room but they insisted there was and that it going missing meant I had taken it when checking out. Maybe before checking in you can make guests aware of the stuffed bird and maybe take of photo of room before checking in. I felt I was not believed when explaining there was no bird from the start of my stay. I left very disappointed, thinking the staff don't believe me.

Comfortable room, fantastic breakfast, great location by the pier. Perfect base for exploring Railay

My room was comfortable, well equipped, and had everything I needed. The breakfasts were excellent; varied, fresh, and something I looked forward to every morning. The grounds are lovely to walk through, and the location is ideal: right next to the East Railay pier (which I recommend using. It makes arrivals and departures SO much easier than arriving on the west side), and just a short walk to both beaches and the main walking street. I even saw monkeys playing on the property one afternoon, which was magical to me. The staff were kind and helpful once I was settled in.

Check-in was slow, and despite emailing ahead about needing a ground floor or elevator access due to a knee issue, I was initially given a room that required climbing many stairs. This was corrected, but it was stressful after a tiring journey. The area around Railay does have some strong smells at times, which seems to be more about the region than the resort itself. In the bathroom, I would have preferred to see liners in the trash can used for toilet paper.

Horrible service and room deception

I do not recommend anyone to book this resort. You need to book the most expensive rooms to have a decent stay. Don't be fooled by their premium, it is nothing premium. We had mold in the room, it was so old and dirty, so much so that we booked another day their deluxe or whatever they call those type of room. Even then, the smell of pond water was unbearable. The location is only thing good. Breakfast average. Staff super rude. We begged for help to change the room. They gaslighted us and just said you can move tomorrow and pay from your own pocket. I complained so much and it took them a day to offer ''help" by saying pay for another room.

Everything above. I stayed in 5 different resorts in Krabi, choose any other resort/place but them. Not worth it. I never leave bad reviews because it is beneath me, but these people deserve to be exposed.

I booked 10 rooms for my wedding ceremony guests，I wrote to the hotel the guest’s name for different rooms，but the hotel didn’t make this change they faced difficulties when they checked in.The rooms were not very clean and too wet .It didn’t look like a 4 star hotel.

That I waited 3 days to get my bath fixed from when I first asked reception. after the plug wouldn’t stay down they finally fixed it. I payed for a bath room and I only got to use my bath 2 nights. Staff member took us to room stated it was a twin but on arrival it was not. We had to pay extra to get a twin room despite booking twin or double and stating we wanted a twin. also at pool staff said water is free but then at other pool was told it is not free.

Excellent value. Of all the resort properties in Railey, this one is the cheapest by far, and not much less in terms of what they offer. Only downside was the location, which isn’t that bad given the size of Railey.

Didn't help with luggage

Good resort

The staff doesn't send any help to move your luggage till the pier while it is situated closeby but hotel denies helping with luggage from pier to hotel premises while other resorts send their help with wheel barrow to pickup and delivery luggage. Hotel is not bothered about transfers from railey to other places and asks us to arrange it ourselves bu discussing with the pier longboats taxis. If you are lucky you can find shared taxi to ao nnam mao beach or have to charter a full boat costing 800-1300 baht The cost of yo and fro to railay beach just to reside at the hotel is not worth rather have a day trip as hotel is not mentioned it is not accessible by any car or bike ..only by ferry/boat Also hotel asks for a high deposit

A well-located resort with great views and potential, let down by neglect and a lack of care in the details.

This resort has some real strengths. The rooftop pool is a standout feature, offering stunning views and a great place to unwind after a day exploring Railay. The buffet breakfast was generous and varied, and our room was a good size, providing a comfortable enough base in a truly spectacular location. Overall, it served us well for a few days of beachside relaxation.

That said, the hotel could benefit from significant attention. Communication with staff was poor—despite several attempts to confirm a twin room ahead of arrival, no response ever came, and unsurprisingly it hadn’t been arranged. The rooms and facilities are showing their age: rusty taps, rickety doors, and faulty lighting were all part of the experience. The gym was something of a running joke: one broken treadmill (possibly long out of service) and a yoga mat so threadbare it’s almost impressive. A few small updates and more attentive management could really lift the overall experience.

I found the resort comfortable, well positioned and priced.

The hotel is very comfortable and has a convenient location just off the Railay East pier. The breakfast was quite good, rooms are large and comfortable. The pool is roof top with a good view of the bay and sunrise.

There was a bit of construction around the pool and the grounds. I'm told this has been going on for some time. While it didn't prevent using the pool, but was a little awkward at times to get around.

Overall we had a pleasant stay

The rooftop pool was beautiful with views of the ocean and mountains. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We were given a welcome drink and cold towel when we arrived. The AC worked very well. The location of the hotel was secluded.

The pool water was very warm and not very refreshing. Our shower only had cold water. There was quite a bit of construction within the property and beware of monkeys around
