Magical place a must stay in again

The check out time at 11 even it’s not a high season , it could have been better if we were allowed couple of ours more since we were so tired from our road trip ( France , Swiss then Italy )

From the moment you step foot inside, a sense of belonging washes over you, making it feel like home. The picturesque view overlooking Chiasso and the Italian mountains adds to the charm of this unique location. The attention to detail in the chalet's design is evident, with wooden ceilings exuding a warm and inviting atmosphere. On warmer evenings, guests can unwind outdoors, taking in the mesmerizing lights of nearby towns. The provision of a private parking spot on the property ensures convenience and peace of mind for guests. During our stay, we explored various activities in the area. A trip to the Foxtown shopping center provided a welcome diversion on a rainy day, while hiking from Castel San Pietro to the breathtaking gorge offered an exhilarating outdoor adventure. Additionally, a scenic bicycle tour through the Muggio valley, with the option to trek up Monte San Giorgio, provided ample opportunities for exploration and discovery, all conveniently accessible right from the Chalet. Overall, the Magic Chalet offers not just accommodation but a gateway to unforgettable experiences in one of most picturesque regions of the Ticino. Whether you seek relaxation, adventure, or simply a connection with nature, this charming retreat caters to all, leaving guests with memories to cherish for years to come.

There should be tourist information presented about things to do and things to see.

With a little love and creativity this could be a real gem! Lovely location and nice Ticino style houses.

Unfortunately it wasn't very clean. Breadcrumbs, spiderwebs, dirty ashtray, hair in shower etc... It doesn't have a kitchen nor kitchenette, just a fridge, gas oven and a sink in a separate room. Difficult to even brew a cuppa. No bedside table or lights. Windows can't be opened over night because you can't block them and they are doors, so it gets quite sticky. Interior dated. Pity - with a little refurbishment this would be a 10 points location!

The chalet is set on a hill, in a fenced-off area with private access and parking. The view of a large transport terminal situated at the foot of the hill is not exciting and not too unpleasant either. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen clean.

However, the interior left much to be desired and that’s where the “magic” fades away. In the wooden chalet it was very hot during the late June night and the advertised fan was not provided. Cobwebs adorned various surfaces. The shower tiles and toilet pan were dirty. The bathroom was poorly lit and when the black shower curtain was closed, visibility in the shower was virtually non-existent. The head shower holder was broken and the water pressure was very low. As “free toiletries” was available soap only. The coffee machine was so smudged that I did not risk touching it. Furthermore, the fire safety was violated in several ways in the wooden chalet. The bedroom light fixture hung from the wall, exposing uninsulated wire connector. In the bathroom, wires dangled from a hole in the wall, shrouded in cobwebs. The kitchen’s noisy fridge, microwave, and one other appliance were all connected to a single outlet via a three-way adapter. The coffee machine was connected to an extender hanging on the machine’s wire. Given these serious safety concerns, it is not understandable how this property was assessed and approved for listing by Booking.
