Nice hotel in a very nice location overlooking the ocean

Unfortunately the day we stayed here was very windy and the poor sound isolation on the windows meant that we kept being awakened by the round of the storm outside

The dinner is delicious and the bed is comfortable. I usually need white noise to fall asleep in a new place, and this hotel is right by the beach, so the natural sound of the waves helps a lot. The price is also very affordable. Although the hotel is quite far from the station, you can contact them in advance and they can arrange a shuttle pick-up, which is very convenient.

The cleanliness was below expectations. I saw a small cockroach in the hallway, and it even came into my room after my shower! The chair in the room was a bit dusty. The bathroom is quite small, and the private open-air onsen was just average. There were only two power plugs in the room, which was a bit inconvenient. The hotel is in a rural area, with no convenience store nearby. My room was also facing a utility pole, so the view was blocked. There are some uneven floor levels in the room and hallway, but the steps were not very noticeable and there were no clear warning signs. I accidentally twisted my ankle a little because I did not see the step. It may be helpful to add clearer markings for guest safety.
