St Christopher's Edinburgh - Old Town

I liked how close the facility was to Edinburgh Waverly Station. Very convenient.

That I had to purchase my own bottle of water; maybe having one bottle of water on the arrival night for free wouldn't be bad at all.😊

St Christopher’s never let me down. As always didn’t want to leave :) Central to everything; excellent value for money.

Some staff friendlier than others - the “chill out room” is a locker room.

Property was in a great location. 5 mins walk to enterprise car rental, literally outside the Waverley train station and a 10 mins walk to trams and airport bus link. The Edinburgh castle, royal mile and grass market were all within walking distance and the Christmas market was literally outside the door. The beds were surprisingly spacious and very comfy so I did have a great sleep. There was a privacy curtain, light and multiple charging sockets. Each bed also has a draw you could store luggage in. BYO locks otherwise I think you can hire them from reception?

The toilet and shower cubicles were very small and poorly ventilated. The room window also didn’t open to allow fresh air. We stayed overnight in a 6 bed dorm and the room smelt like it had been sitting with rotten feet for days. The hostel overall was dirty and smelt stale.
