Apartments 17 Szewska

This was our second stay at thee apartments. the apartments are in a quiet location within a very short walk to the main square. All major attractions are within walking distance from the apartment. The room was clean and the check-in process was very easy.

The location was great, just at the doorsteps restaurants and bars, main square around the corner. But despite the fact that Szewska street turns into a party hotspot, the room was very quiet, due to the fact that the apartments are located at the annex of the main building. The room was really clean. Bathroom modern. The beds were comfortable. And the staff tried to be helpful.

I didn’t know that there is no reception at the property. It is located in a different building, 15min away by foot. If things go right - it doesn’t matter. But… we arrived early and had to leave the bags in that reception just to, a few hours later, walk with heavy bags (we couldn’t get the taxi) to our room. There we discovered that our room is on the 4th floor without a lift (20kg bag, 10kg, 3 backpacks and 2 complaining kids. Imagine the joys!). The room had one window that opened on the walkway- so to have privacy- we had to keep curtains closed. This window was fixed-no opening possibility (for safety). There were rooflights, but in a flat roof- couldn’t be reached to open (too high), and also- in case of rain- anyway we wouldn’t open it. All resulted in a stuffy air. Thankfully the aircon worked well. It would be more fair, if these details were explained clearly at the room description- so I could make a more informed choice. Also, one night the door access code system broke. After I contacted the staff they tried to open it remotely, but no luck. Finally the poor staff member run all the way from the other reception to open the door for me. He was very apologetic. I appreciate his efforts.
