Top service, top quality, super dog-friendliness and strategically located

The Staff, every single one of them, provided us with a TOP service, you can really feel from the first moment the loving care that all of them take of you and your needs. Breakfast was really complet and even if I slept too long one day and arrived a bit late, they took care to refill everything in the Buffet without even asking for it, so I had everything I wanted... and the espresso was great! They are super dog-friendly and provided us with blankets and towels for the dogs, (we traveled with our two doggies) as well as feeding bowls and poop-bags. The pool is simply perfect, and the food "a la carte" is great, and they even provided gluten-free variations when requested even if it was not on the menu. Our room was huge! super comfortable queen bed, great terrace with hammock to enjoy the forest views from the second floor and inside even space for a sofa with table as a small dining/reading area. The fantastic location allowed us to enjoy several lakes and towns within no more than 15-20 minutes distance by car, so we really used our time there to visit a lot of places. 100% recommended.

In the future it will be good if our room includes A/C or at least a roof ventilator for the super-hot nights. In our case we solved it by leaving the door of our terrace open, and the fresh air of the forest was enough to cool the room.

We were thrilled with the hospitality and a warm atmosphere of this "like a family-run" hotel. There are a lot of things to do and try nearby during the winter time (like discovering small villages, lakes, local cuisine etc.)

This was an utterly pleasent experience, from checkin to checkout. Attentive and competent staff. The owner greeting guests personally, always time for a little chat. The room was classic Austrian style and very clean, even in the typical corners, haha. Dinner and breakfast were great, local quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and certainly will come back.

Heated outdoor pool in lovely garden near the woods

We loved the propery gardens and the heated outdoor swimming pool which is excellent value for money and something rarely available in family run hotels; was built in 2020. We hiked during the morning and spent the afternoon in the garden by the pool. Heaven! We loved the breakfast - very nice coffee, excellent breads, home made gems, home made butter, fabulous cereals, water melon, honey melon slices, scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. We ate breakfast and dinner outdoors on a lovely terrace. We chose a la carte in the evening and liked the traditional Austrian dishes with a twist. Saturday evening was grill buffet which was amazing. It included huge grilled mushrooms from the forest at the back of the hotel. They tasted so nice...

We were given a suite with two bedrooms, but we only needed one. It was a bit odd but got used to it. The balcony was facing the beautiful and well kept gardens with the swimming pool. Which was nice. The toilet was very tiny, separated from the bathroom. The room needs modernized a bit in terms of furniture.

Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Ich hasse Teppichböden und habe mich über einen Holzboden im Zimmer gefreut. Die Erwartungshaltung wurde voll erfüllt.

Einmal und nie wieder, dabei könnte man daraus wirklich was machen!

Das Hotel sieht von außen sehr ansprechend aus und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Beste am Zimmer war die kleine Terrasse mit der Aussicht in den Garten. Es ist auch ein sehr Hundefreundliches Hotel.

Das Hotel ist so was in die Jahre gekommen!!! Die Zimmer sind völlig veraltert, das Badezimmer hat schon überall an den Fliesen Schimmel angesetzt. Das Frühstück ging einigermaßen, der Koch kann nicht kochen!!! Fertiges Kartoffelpüree bei circa 20 Gästen geht gar nicht und dann noch zu viel Salz an allem. Reinigungspersonal macht einfach nicht die Zimmer sauber, bedankt sich aber das wir darauf verzichtet haben! Wir hatten nicht verzichtet, hatten wohl nur keine Lust darauf!!!

Eines der besten Hotels in Kärnten

Dieses Hotel ist einfach ein Knüller. Wir lieben die Themenzimmer, die verwinkelten Balkone und die zur Verfügung stehenden Sitzgelegenheiten, den Pool und die Liegen zum Verweilen und und und... Speziell war dieses Jahr bei unserem Besuch die Leistungen von Frau Nudelbacher und dem Herrn Andreas an der Rezeption. Wir mussten einen Kameraden wegen einer Erkrankung zurücklassen und die beiden (und das ganze Haus) haben alles erdenkliche getan, damit er wieder Gesund wurde und mit uns zurückfahren konnte. Das war grosses Kino und verdient einen herzlichen Dank.

Perfekte Auszeit zur Entschleunigung

Es hat einfach alles gepasst! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die liebevollen Details in der Zimmerausstattung waren sehr schön und das Bett war ein Traum! Essen und Kaffee ebenfalls sehr gut!
