Smaragdi

I stayed here with my daughter this summer and we were both very impressed! Smaragdi is a beautiful boutique hotel situated 2 minutes from the lovely beach of Perissa and Perivolos. All members of staff were very welcoming and helpful. The style and decor in the rooms, reception area, by the pool and around the grounds of the hotel are extremely tasteful and exceptionally clean. Lots of nice restaurants and bars are lined up along the beach road so there's a great choice of places to eat each lunchtime and evening. Some offer free sunbeds if you order food and drink throughout the day. Every restaurant we went to served delicious food with great service – plus very reasonably priced. The hotel itself does not have a bar or restaurant but with such a great choice of places to eat right on your doorstep it really wasn't an issue at all. Top hotel and place to stay – Five stars from us.

I could not fault the hotel at all, it was immaculate. The staff were super helpful and we were able to pay a little bit extra to keep our room on as we had a late flight.

My only comment would be that we stayed in an economy room which was very clean and well maintained, it had a fridge, nice size bathroom, but we had no window in the bedroom and it was quite small, but to be fair for what we paid it was very good value so I can't really complain, but I think if we went again I would go for a standard room maybe.

The staff was incredible and very attentious to us. The place is very cosy, perfect for a calm vacation. We will definitely comeback.

A very warm welcome from the reception team/owner. The room was large and really nice with comfortable beds and a good shower, the pool was big enough to do lengths and even this early in the season at a perfect temperature. We also liked that they had their own carpark which would be useful in peak season and the beach is literally a minutes walk away. When you get to the beach there is loads of restaurants and beach bars etc with sunbeds, but you are far away from the madness of Fira and Oia so there are less crowds to deal with.

Be aware there they do not offer breakfast, however they do have a reasonably priced vending machine for snacks an drinks etc. and you can get breakfast from restaurants that are very nearby.
