Everything was really good. Nothing really to complain. If anything, the crib was charged at 30 EUR but I think that's normal.

Great hotel!

Perfect location in the center of Innsbruck. Anything you might need is extremely close. Great breakfast: served on the fifth floor with stunning mountain views. Superb customer service, especially Anna was very helpful.

Quiet, Clean, Convenient

The Penz is an easy walk from the main train station as well as to most places I wished to go, plus great eateries. It is super quiet. The lobby offers locally grown apples and citrus-flavored water.

After booking, and before arriving, I called with questions and spoke with an employee who was most warm. Unfortunately, not only was she away when I was there, but the other staff, while courteous, lacked the over the top warmth she showed. They seemed rather impersonal. Even more disappointing, though I had read ahead of time I would be getting a Welcome Card, it was not offered to me on arrival. When I was more alert/less tired later the next day, I asked about it and learned that only guests who request cards get one. This bothered me, especially since I was staying four nights, which meant I was entitled to the Welcome Card Plus benefits. On another note, the bathtub/shower is very slippery when wet, yet no sticky mat to prevent falls is provided.

Not as advertised at all

This was one of the most shocking stays at a hotel! 1.First, when I got there I was told I had booked for one person and not two and that a surcharge would be added. When I said this must be a mistake and I need to check, all I got was "yeah ok well you'll be charged, just so you know". That is horrific customer service for one and no attempt was made to clear it up or even do a fake apology. I will still dispute this charge because I don't understand why you charge me for a second person on a two people room. I booked the big room and paid for it regardless, what are we charging extra for exactly? 2.The wifi is HORRIFIC! If you travel for work, there is no way you'd be able to get anything done. I have screenshots of the wifi dropping, then saying my password is wrong, then saying the wifi isn't available, then connecting and not working. I have never experienced anything like it in a hotel that claims to be a "Design hotel" in the middle of the city where you assume they target business travellers. 3.The noise was incessant! We were given no "do not disturb" signs and at 8:12am on a SUNDAY we had to tell housekeeping to get out of the room when they just randomly entered????? Why is housekeeping doing anything that early on a weekend? Not to mention being shaken awake at 1am one night by some drunk women screaming in the hallway. When we went out to ask why they're screaming at 1am they screamed that this is a hotel and they're partying. I guess this is the type of guest you expect there? This has absolutely never happened to me before and I've stayed in hotels with drunk brits 4.The fact that they claim to have parking is ridiculous. They just happen to be next to a public parking that you get charged full price for. That's not parking they can claim as a facility because that's just the same as saying you can park on the street nearby and deal with it.

Had a wonderful stay

The Location was absolutely excellent! couldn't get any better. It was walk able from all the main spots. The breakfast was fab. They had a wonderful buffet with a breakfast menu you could order hot food from. The fresh fruits they had in the buffet was specially amazing as they had so many to choose from and of very good quality. The staff were very polite and were kind enough to upgrade one of our rooms as my father needed a wheelchair accessible one.

The Air Conditioning was really pathetic. It was boiling as we had gone in peak summer and the rooms just wouldn't cool enough. We even complained and they sent somebody to fix it but it didn't change things. The rooms were run down and definitely needed renovations.

Great centrally-located hotel. Best breakfast we have ever had by far! All staff we met were friendly, polite & very professional. Comfy beds.

Only thing is that the bathroom light lights up whole bedroom (due to glass). A night light would be handy.

Great hotel. Awesome location. Awesome breakfast. Must stay!

Breakfast on the 5th floor is an awesome experience! The views from the floor are amazing. More importantly, there is so much space on the floor, it makes guests feel very relaxed. And the breakfast spread is the best I have seen in my life. There are at least 15 types of just jams and preserves! The choice of bread, of muesli, of nuts/dry fruits, of fruits.....it's amazingly wide! One last thing. The location of the hotel is terrific. In 5 minutes, you can reach almost all the tourist spots!

Room could be better. The light in the bathroom pours over into the bedroom, so it disturbs the other person. The bath gel bottle is too tight to squeeze the gel out. The room size could be a little bigger too

No dinner/ room service . No milk in ur fridge so u can only have black coffee , . No bar food to order when u have cocktails on 5th floor. It’s a shame the hotel doesn’t serve any food at all from 11am onwards . They only do breakfast . Such a great venue on 5th floor it would be nice to enjoy dinner there

Nice location with goods staf and breakfast but need small upgrades.

Location, breakfast quality and huge variety of choices. I did also like the service with the waiters as they were very polite and providing food upon request. Place was clean overall. Easy access to the hotel from underground carpark at reasonable price.

Bathroom sink and tap was very uncomfortable with the hot and cold separated adjustments and the actual sink structure. It would have been enough to just have the traditional sink and tap. Luggage holder/table missing in the bedroom for the price paid is expected sorry. Light switches dated and not fully functional as the one in the bathroom broker the night before our departure. Phone charges only on one side of the bed.

Right up there with the most enjoyable hotel stays we've had and we fully intend to return.

The location is in the centre of Innsbruck, within walking distance of almost everywhere you'd want to go, and buses and trams are close by for everywhere else. Despite being in the centre, the hotel is on a quiet side street, so noise is no problem, (although the city centre is on the flight-path for the airport). The breakfast buffet is possibly the best I've seen anywhere, and I've seen quite a few. We stayed for seven nights and for the first four our room was good. However, maintenance work need to be carried out on that floor, so we were moved to a suite on another floor for the rest of our stay, which was excellent. Possibly the best thing about the Penz though is the staff. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, helpful, professional and a pleasure to deal with.
