Your villa near Lloret de Mar
The appearance of Villa Orlanda is imposing and robust and of course this detached villa offers all the comfort you could need including your own private swimming pool. The villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. You can park your car easily and safely in your own parking place. Orlanda is built on street level. You can enter the residence via a small set of steps on the first floor. When stepping through the front door you enter the spacious living room, where you also can find a very practical furnished kitchen. On this floor you can also find 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. One floor lower you will find the other 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. The 2 floors are conected by an exterior staircase.The inside of the house is furnished in a Spanish and functional style and it has a snug feeling to it, because of its light character. When looking outside you can enjoy yourself even further, because you have a beautiful view of the surrounding forest. This view is outside even nicer and more beautiful. On the nice big balcony you can enjoy the sun and the view of your very own swimming pool. When you go down the stairs you get to a big terrace that offers several nice spots. For example, the big veranda, that is shut off from the summer heat, is a very nice spot. The beautiful garden around everything makes it complete. Main showpieces are of course your swimming pool in which you can always take a refreshing dive. The nice deckchairs on the side of the swimming pool are also a lovely way to relax. Your favourite drink will taste even better. And you can make a quick bite to eat on the stone barbecue outside.
The surroundings of your villa
If you do decide to leave the villa, there is more than enough to do in your surroundings. You can find the beach 7 kilometres away. The glorious sea water combined with the nice beaches, make your time on the coast wonderful. Besides that, you are located very centrally to visit several nice places. Vidreres, that is 15 kilometres away, is a nice typical Catalan town where not many tourists can be found and you can really mingle with the Spanish locals. It has a nice church in the centre that is surrounded with shops. The snug fishing-village of Tossa de Mar can be found 11 kilometres away. In Tossa de Mar you can find the castle of Vila Vella with small streets and stairs that has almost completely remained intact. In the romantic castle you can find many excellent restaurants and many nice shops that make the search for a nice souvenir easy. If you want more excitement and liveliness you can go to the well-known seaside resort Lloret de Mar. Imagine activities like golf courses, a water park, the dolfinarium, riding schools, sports centres and one of the biggest casinos of Europe. You won’t get bored easily here. My queries were answered promptly which was very helpful. The photos on the website of the villa were a true reflection of it.
The villa is a little bit old fashioned but it suited our needs. The pool and garden area was perfect for us and we really enjoyed using it. We loved eating on the patio. The kitchen utensils need an update to suit large family groups. There were only two small chopping boards although at the end of our stay we found a bigger board out by the BBQ. Also the knives were very small. We were a family of 10 and it was difficult to cut bread and watermelons with the small knives and small chopping boards that were in the kitchen. And as a large party, it would have been helpful to have more than one cloth for wiping and drying the dishes. It would also have been good to have some cleaning products provided to clean the kitchen surfaces, the toilet and bathroom. We also would have benefited from having two pillows per person.
When we arrived at the airport, we called the Aiguaviva team to let them know when we’d arrive. The lady told us to call again once we’d got to the villa. When we got to the villa, we called her but it took a little while for her to get back to us so we were sat outside the gate for about 20 minutes or so. It would have been better if she had given us the key code for the lockbox when I’d first called from the airport. When we got inside we found that there weren’t any towels or top sheets. But when we called the team again, Allan came to the villa with the towels and sheets. Allan was very helpful and we appreciated his local knowledge. He also came to our rescue when we locked ourselves out of the top apartment.
We really enjoyed our stay at the villa, it was just right for us. I hope you will find my remarks about the check in procedure and the kitchen helpful.

I rent this villa for family holidays. We were nine, 6 adults and 4 childrens, we spent a very good moment. Children were happy to play everyday in the swimming pool. I recommended this villa not far to the lloret town and for visited Barcelona.
