A beautiful cottage set in the peaceful countryside of the southern Lake District — truly idyllic! Surrounded by stunning rural scenery, it’s perfect for walks right from the doorstep. The nearby village of Cartmel offers everything from cosy pubs to fine dining restaurants, adding to the charm of the stay. Karen was an excellent and thoughtful host, making us feel completely at home. The whole experience felt like being in the movie “The Holiday” — tranquil, romantic, and unforgettable. Absolutely 10 out of 10!

Property was very clean and a nice welcome, great location, nice parking.
The sofa is awful. The worst thing I’ve sat on, I could make a better sofa out of cardboard and duck tape. It meant that we couldn’t relax at night and end up laying on the bed as soon as we came in. It really let the beautiful cottage down. Also pillows are ridiculously hard.
