Fabulous property. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We chose this house over others because it had a kitchen table that was perfect for setting up games on and another dining table to eat on. Kitchen very well stocked, comfy furniture and lovely garden to sit out with coffee or G and T’s. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a house away from hustle and bustle.

We were here to celebrate my 40th and it couldn’t have gone better - the house is stunning and it’s a perfect location to explore what the area has to offer. The host was so helpful - I honestly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to book to go back!! The area is stunning and there is so much to do in and around Grange. I would have given 10 stars if I had the chance - we had the best time!!

The property is clean and airy and is well positioned. Stayed here for 3 nights with 7 people and it really felt like a home. The online description doesn’t do the property justice! Would highly recommend.

Really lovely house, high quality furnishing, bedding etc, throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely to be able to put the fire on in the lounge on the couple of chillier evenings. A real home from home. Would definitely recommend the house as a base for exploring for this glorious part of the lake district. Many thanks Barbara!

We had a fabulous two week stay at Ellerside Cottage. The cottage itself is lovely and clean and very spacious. The grounds are an added bonus and it was lovely to sit on the hill behind the house on the warmer evenings. The owner was very helpful and easy to contact which is a bonus. The kitchen has everything you will need plus a few basic provisions like tea and coffee which were a welcome sight after our long journey. I would highly recommend a stay at Ellerside Cortage as it’s perfectly situated for all that the South Lake District has to offer.

This is an absolutely beautiful house finished to the highest standards with every fine detail thought of to make the stay outstanding. We had three couples and two children staying and the house suited everyone. There are two dining areas, two lounges and four good sized bedrooms so no-one felt left out. The gardens are fantastic for a lovely glass of wine as the sun goes down but it is also an amazing outdoor space for children playing hide and seek. The house is right next to the lovely Holker Hall which has great gardens and house. It is also very close to Cartmel for food loving individuals, with L'enclume and a number of other lovely restaurants and bars at the side of the race course. We had a great stay, would thoroughly recommend it and will definitely return.
