Disappointed by the owner
The location Everything on one floor
Very disappointed with the uncleanliness have stayed in cleaner camp sites. It needs a deep clean. Spoke to the owner face to face who was very friendly initially he admitted that he has a cleaner come in but never checks on the property after them. We sent a message to the owner to give him the opportunity to sort things with the cleaner rather than leave a bad review and explained that it was not clean on our arrival to the standard we would expect cobwebs dirty mirrors & all the windows, filthy marks over all the walls, fire place full of ash from previous guests, the washing line was black and green from mold. The outside area for washing clothes was thick dust. All the outside furniture and inside ceilings and beams all around the beds thick cobwebs. Food and crumbs on all place mats and cutlery draws and fridge. Pots and pans all thrown in the cupboards. No small welcome pack of milk or anything welcoming. We cleaned before we unpacked our bags! On our last day after being told directly by the owner on Wednesday that he was out all day and we didn’t need to rush away at 10.00am on Friday he returned at 10.10am and barged into the property. I was very shocked as I was in the shower! He shouted outside the bathroom door that after our message we had to leave immediately and never return. He said that there was nothing wrong with the cleaner or cleanliness of the property! We are absolutely disgusted. I can’t believe he didn’t apologise to his guests! We have never been treated so badly at a holiday location. Completely spoilt the last day.

Child friendly, dog friendly converted barn
It was spacious and had character. Each bedroom had own facilities. It was quiet, private , a great place for the dog ( at no extra charge) and had everything we needed. Lots of games; we Introduced the children to chess on an actual chess table too! (Their Dad ordered a chess set on Amazon for when they get home! ) John was a very kind and obliging host. Definitely recommend the Long Barn.
Can’t think of anything!

27th Sept - 2nd Oct 24. Graham & friends.
A well designed spacious barn conversion with plenty of character, a bathroom for each bedroom was a definite bonus. If you like peace and quiet with dark skies this is ideal, near to coast but do bear in mind access to the property is down narrow country lanes. John our host was affable and readily available if needed . Would definitely stay again.
A minor niggle in that the controls on the kitchen appliances took a while to get to grips with and would in our view have been better if more simplistic.

Very relaxing countryside getaway
It was our first family holiday with our daughter and it couldn't have been nicer. The barn is in a very quiet area of countryside 10 mins drive from a range of shops and close enough to everything we planned to see while away. John was a fantastic host who met us on arrival and showed us in. Our daughter loved seeing the cows behind the barn and reading / playing in the upstairs bedroom area (which has top and bottom stair gates). The value for money was excellent, we're a family of 3 but could easily be double staying and plenty of room. We would definitely come back.
Having to leave to come home.

Really enjoyable. Even better than we'd hoped.
The property was unlocked with the owner there to meet us. Plenty of room for six adults to eat, sleep and socialise comfortably. Heaps of character. Great location for visiting Skomer and walking on the coast - both amazing. Good value.
One small niggle. The oven wasn't the easiest.
