Pear Tree Cottage

Really comfy, cosy cottage. Very well equipped a home from home. Good location.

We had a lovely stay as a family of 4 (two kids 5 & 10) over the summer holidays. The property was easily accessible, clean, well maintained and in a good location to explore York and surrounding areas by car. I took our subscription recipe box to make most of our meals on an evening - and the cottage was well equipped for me to make everything with ease. I’d not realised until we were there (but great for future reference as I hope to return) that there’s another cottage directly next door - perfect if travelling with family or friends. You’d definitely need a car, there’s about a 10minute drive to the designer shopping outlet which has lots of super chargers if you’re electric - and we made use of these regularly. During our 5 day stay we visited fountains abbey, the forbidden corner, Yorkshire wildlife park, York city centre - where there’s plenty to do on a rainy day and the dreamery gardens. There’s absolutely loads to see and do around this part of the country and I’d say pear tree cottage is a great base. Thanks for having us!
