Duck Cottage

Nice location. close to the lighthouse & easy drive to Bempton cliffs. Convenient coop store around the corner & good fish n chip shop in village.

Parking can be a bit of a nightmare. Was greeted by the next door neighbor telling me I can't park there and then had to put up with him keep moving his extremely noisy car on and off the drive. Typical boy racer with a wide exhaust on his puddle jumper. You can hear everything next door are doing, especially when they are repairing a bike outside the backdoor. It was a warm week, so had bedroom window open & had to put up with the morons leaving the pub at 1.15am.

Loads of character great position Very quick response from owners

Parking around the streets fairly easy but I like a parking spot A little musty smell on entry but you get used to it

Hard mattress but that's just personal preference.

Location was good. We managed to park very close by. There was a pub across the road (didn't serve food) There was a pub short walking distance that served food, also 2 chippies + COOP at end of street. Beach was about 1 mile away. Facilities in the cottage were good. Heating was set on a timer & was adequate. Although the cottage is right next to the road it was reasonably quiet.

Stairs in the cottage were very steep especially to the attic bedroom. Hot water was from immersion heater & if you wanted a bath you could only get around 6 inches of hot water before it ran cold
