Location was good. We managed to park very close by. There was a pub across the road (didn't serve food) There was a pub short walking distance that served food, also 2 chippies + COOP at end of street. Beach was about 1 mile away. Facilities in the cottage were good. Heating was set on a timer & was adequate. Although the cottage is right next to the road it was reasonably quiet.
Stairs in the cottage were very steep especially to the attic bedroom. Hot water was from immersion heater & if you wanted a bath you could only get around 6 inches of hot water before it ran cold

No breakfast included
Bath, not enough hot water to fill it. There was no shower curtain. If you used it, it sprayed everywhere. The kettle was filthy, we had to buy a new kettle. Lounge is in need of an upgrade.

The cottage is in a great location to allow us to explore Flamborough Head. It had pretty much everything we needed. My son really liked the large attic bedroom.
Some parts were well cleaned eg kitchen but the soft furnishings and bedding all smelled like they needed a good wash. Very stale and as if they had just been freshened up with fabreeze or dettol spray. I washed our bedding in the bath as it did not smell properly clean. The courtyard was quite nice but much of the time the neighbour was in there with his toddler and his dogs so it was not private. The dogs kept trying to get into the house. One got in and peed on the armchair. So more fabric cleaning required.

It was quaint and very quiet.
The furniture was uncomfortable and the pillows were very uncomfortable. I have Arthritis of the spine, so it made for painful nights. Better for young people I think. Could do with a deep clean. If you are going to have beige suite covers and curtains, then please keep them clean. And the kettle very much needs de - scaling. No Internet, nor tv while we were there.

It is a surprisingly roomy little cottage and feels so homely. It has a lot of lovely features and character. We used the fire one night just for fun really but the cottage keeps very warm. I bought along my chrome cast so was able to cast our programmes to the TV although it is a smart TV and you can access things through that. The WiFi connection is good and the kitchen has all you need we even baked cakes. I really loved the kids room reminded me of the nursery in Peter pan for some reason. Oh and the bed was so comfortable.
The location is perfect as quiet but amenities a stones throw away lovely beaches and walks but not far to drive to Bridlington and other local areas with more things going on. We went to sewerby Hall and on the pirate ship as well and the beaches and Danes Dyke.
The children and I intend to return next year we have loved it so much.
The stairs as it says are very steep but this is stated and me and my 3 children were fine the youngest I didn't allow up or down attic stairs without supervision but this was manageable as a door at the bottom and a gate up the top so was well thought out.

Sehr schönes altes Haus. Ein gemütlicher Pub und ein Supermarkt fast direkt nebenan. Wunderschöne Landschaft drumherum.
Leider keine Kaffeemaschine in der Küche.
