WOW ! :-)

As soon as I opened the door, I texted the owner: "All I can say is WOW!" I felt like I hit the jackpot. I clicked "exceeded my expectations" while filling out the review, and that's right. Briefly, I LOVE high ceilings, lots of space and light. The place was huge, especially in comparison to most places. Great character in old building. Only 2 things were not perfect: 1) I had to look up the stove on youtube to figure out how to turn it on (reset?) I'm tech savvy and fairly smart; it was not obvious how to work it. I texted the owner but got no reply; then I texted that I'd figured it out. 2) After a while, it sounded like a family with a young child came into the unit above, and the child was running back and forth. Eventually they went to bed, but for a bit was annoying. But these 2 things are relatively minor. As usual, when only one night available, price was very reasonable. But I had to leave next day.

- I found stove hard to use - family in unit above were noisy for a bit

Great stopover for driving through France

Perfect place for a stop on the way down to the South of France. Short walk to restaurants. Comfortable and clean with good parking.

Convenient one-night stop

Very convenient one night stop close to the motorway. Plenty of space and all that we needed. Free on-street parking right outside with lots of spaces.

The bed was too small for me. OK, I am 6ft2 (1.89m), but it had a foot board so I could not hang my feet over the ebd.

Convenient and cheap stay that ticked all the boxes.

We stayed here to get an early morning ferry from Calais so it was a convenient location (1.5hr drive). You can walk into the main town from the apartment and there is a good supermarket that is a 10min walk away. The apartment was clean and spacious.

The bed was sqeaky but after 6 nights of camping, we didn't mind that much.

cozy apartment near city Center

check in was possible even at short notice. room was clean and comfortable. modern kitchen with stove and fridge. there was a fan available. A short 5 minutes walk away is the bakery "Paul" with a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious baguettes. the city center is right next door.

small hint for improvement: would be nice to have a shelf in the shower for shampoo. The toilet seat does not stay up.

Trankil, indeed.

Clear check-in instructions, good location, clean, well-appointed apartment with everything we needed for our short stay. It is in a really quiet part of town, near the Basilique and parks but only a short walk from the train station.

The plastic mattress protector was really uncomfortable to sleep on.

1 night stay

Nice apartment, well furnished, full kitchen, easy check-in with lockbox. Easy free parking on the street since there is plenty of it. I cannot comment about the location since we literally used the apartment to sleep the night and leave the following morning early but the whereabouts look safe. The only issue is that we could hear the upstairs tenants walk and talk and were woken up early on with footsteps sounds but it was no big deal. Recommend

The insulation is poor we could hear thumping footsteps when people walked upstairs.

It felt like the Ryanair of an apartment. We had to take of the bedsheets, we had to pay extra for the washing machine in the apartment, it didn't give us a good feeling.

Convenient location for a stop-off along our long journey - arrangements well organised.

The remote hosting instructions were very clear and organised.

One improvement to suggest on the arrangements. It would also have been helpful to send the door code and entry arrangements via the Booking.com app as well as sending by email. This would save us from having to trawl through our multiple emails to find the information. Just a small point - otherwise it was all very well organised.

The perfect apartment to accommodate 3 adults and 2 children as a one night stopover

This apartment accommodated us perfectly for a one night stopover on the way to Calais. We were 3 adults and 2 children and everything we needed was prepared for us. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped, we couldn’t have asked for more. Although we never met the hosts, they were extremely friendly and helpful.

Tranqill by name Tranquil by nature

it was perfect. Eight minute walk to the main square. very quiet, with its own courtyard that would be great to relax in if it was not winter. Very easy and secure to enter. Lots of free parking nearby. Clean.

It would have been nice if shampoo and shower gel was supplied.

A well located, clean and easy choice for a short stay in the town

Very easy check-in with all the details needed, including on parking. Good location with easy walking access to the main square.

Would always respect and leave a property clean - the possible additional cleaning costs set out in the welcome booklet made us nervous however about using the fridge/cooker at all as the detail was not clear.
