Basement apartment. Dogs pee on the window, 20 cm above the sidewalk.

For the first time, I lived in such a dirty apartment, one that hadn't been cleaned in years. The floor was only swept in the middle, as were the bathroom and kitchen. We were simply deceived!!!

Disappointing apartment with many issues

Location of the property is very good, in the old historical centre and with a quiet but safe ambience in the streets.

We were very disappointed overall with the state of the property. The apartment is half located below street level, and as a result suffers from high humidity and damp. Levels of humidity were very uncomfortable in hot weather, bordering dangerous. We found that the humidity would reach 70-80% without the dehumidifier running constantly whilst we were there. The damp meant we had difficulty drying clothes and that the bathroom has a mould issue that requires addressing. The apartment, felt quite tired and grubby. We found stray hairs around. We noticed a lot of dust and areas which looked like they hadn’t been cleaned. Kitchen utensils and cookware were not clean and were found greasy in the cupboards. Coffee machine had not been cleaned. We had issues with ants and mosquitoes in the apartment (despite windows being kept closed). We think the mosquitoes were breeding in the apartment given the damp and fact that there was standing water in the dehumidifier. The host was responsive but was unable to solve the issue satisfactorily during our stay. Cleaning supplies were missing. Cooking extractor hood does not work. Some lights were broken. This apartment needs significant attention to bring it to a satisfactory state to host guests.

The location was absolutely perfect. Just below the elevator to San Guisto and a very easy walk down to the town center. A very quiet neighbourhood. I recommend breakfast at Adoro in Cavana.

the apartment is in the heart of old town Trieste, very beautiful.

it was very comfortable and had all the necessary amenities, including an iron and washing machine, which come in handy esp during a longer stay. internet was fast and the connection was always good.

the inside was perfect, but sadly there’s not much sunlight coming in, because of the high walls of the opposite house and the narrow street, but it didn’t bother me so much, because I was hardly ever home. the location is absolutely beautiful, in old town Trieste, but not disabled friendly. if you’re not worried about uneven stones and a hike up, it’s perfect.

Efficiency Apartment on the Steep Hill of San Giusto

The bathroom was spacious with a separate room for the sink. The kitchenette was modern with a dishwasher & large refrigerator & freezer. The building was in a safe & secure area.

The clothes rack in the closet was too high to hang clothes on!

Home away from Home

I liked everything about this stay. I had no idea it was in such an historical, medieval, beautiful part of Trieste. The bells ringing from Cathedral were so beautiful, although they didn't ring at night so it is such a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to stay. It's a beautiful short walk to center of the old part of town with amazing shopping, restaurants, strolling past ancient monuments. There is a great grocery store, and a bar, Cin Cin, at bottom of hill near the Roman Theater where you'll run into people from the neighborhood having coffee or glass of wine while running errands. The facilities of the apartment are wonderful. I taught myself to make Moka by watching You Tube and using the Moka devices in the kitchen. It is very clean and well maintained and I used the washing machine which was very nice to have. The owner came immediately when he got a call that I was there. He explained everything in detail and then I was left on my own for much needed privacy. He said to call him if I needed anything, but everything was perfect. Wi Fi worked great by the way.A television too. Very affordable. I had been sent great instructions for finding the apartment. I had intended to take taxi from train station but I couldn't find one, so I saved a lot by taking the tram to San Giusto and then walking down to apartment. Also very safe for a woman traveling alone. Apartment is very secure. Excellent street lighting. I left at 4:15 am walking to train station and felt entirely safe. Highly recommended!

Bien ubicado, malas instalaciones.

Está muy bien ubicado, para ir a todos lados eran menos de 15 minutos. Y menos aún para paradas de bus.

No estaba limpio, las toallas no estaban limpias, los utensilios de cocina se veían sucios y el lavavajillas estaba sucio. Incluso una copa que cogimos tenía mancha de pinta labios. El grifo estaba suelto y era muy incómodo. La cama es un colchón de foam muy fino sobre una tabla de madera. Y no tiene aire acondicionado, solo un deshumidificador y un ventilador.
