One in a Million.

Our check in time was 2pm but we arrived around 11.15am. We were greeted by Manuela and given all the necessary details for our stay. Our room was ready for us by 12.15. We were informed of our breakfast time for the following morning but we needed breakfast at 7am. A phone call later this was arranged. Bottles of cold water were available free gratis from the fridge any time we wanted. There was wine on tap or in bottles which also available to us at any time. Plenty of water in the bedroom also and very comfortable beds. We got a great recommendation for an excellent restaurant some fifteen minutes away. Juliana greeted at 7am the following morning with a beautifully prepared fresh breakfast. Would love to go back to spend some time wine tasting. The surrounding countryside mostly vineyards. Very calm and peaceful place.

As we were attending the Supercup final in Udine it was necessary to hire a car as Gigante Wine and Welcome is about 20km from Udine.

Excellent relax in between vineyards

I loved everything of the stay. The host has communicated with me clearly and promptly from the beginning. They arranged a late checkin for me, as it wasn't possible for me to get to the property in time. Breakfast was excellent. Private swimming pool and sauna were an exceptional experience (charges are 15€ per person for 2h slot). There was also an opportunity to taste (for free) the local wine production. We also got for free the possibility to use the e-bikes and we enjoyed the hills full of vineyards in the region. Overall Excellent!

Lovely stay in a beautiful setting, helpful staff, and tasty home grown wines.

They tried to be very helpful before the stay, assisting with booking taxis etc. And then were friendly during the stay itself.

There was no iron easily available for the guests, but they did let me borrow their steam iron in their part of the building in the end, but this was a bit more hassle than if they just had one available near the guest rooms. Also, although we were allowed to try some wines that were just available to us as guests, we enquired about whether they could organise a wine tasting event for some other friends who were not staying there but in the area for a wedding. They were not able to do this. This is fine and I haven’t downrated at all for this, but it seems like a missed opportunity when you have beautiful wines and a perfect setting for it!

Pleasant country break.

Very nice setting, very quiet in the vineyards. A few meters away from another farm where geese and chickens live outside (be careful driving!). Excellent restaurant recommendations. The region has a great cuisine. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. It is not always the case in Italy. Beds great. Water all the time available and you can have some wine also in the dining room.

The room could have had a little more character. The terrace was also quite bare, it could be nice to add plants and some deco.

A place to return

A beautiful boutique place with nice spa in the surroundings of vineyards. Definitely would recommend this place to wine lovers and to all the other people who appreciate local cuisine and hospitality of the owners. Definitely worth to visit!

Exceptional

Great location to relax, go on bike tours. Right in the middle of Udine, Civitale, Cormons, Goricia, Wine Street, Palmanova, Aquilea etc. Wine tasting with Cinzia was very professional with perfect and typical wines. Manuela made the difference, booking tables in wonderful restaurants, cheese and Grappa stores and other perfect suggestions. Suite #4 was spacious and well equipped.

……..? Maybe a bigger garbage bin would be better. Other than that nothing!!

very relaxing!

we stayed for one week in the Covid times and we felt very welcome due to the familiar atmosphere at Gigante! We had a very nice room and enjoyed the wellness area. Gigante is situated in a silent place, the street with traffic is distant and not disturbing. We got a lot of hints for trips around from the people at Gigante. Finally, you stay at a winery: You can taste and drink really good wine every day, very enjoyable...

Esperienza magnifica per assaporare il Collio!

Posto veramente magico, immerso nella tranquillità. Il bagno era nella norma, ma la camera era veramente stupenda: travi a vista, pavimento di legno, vista sui filari di vite e le colline. Meravigliosa. Al Gigante sono veramente tutti molto gentili. Noi abbiamo inoltre degustato e comprato i loro vini (molto buoni!) e fatto una sosta relax nella loro area wellness. Esperienza veramente unica e consigliatissima per assaporare al meglio la zona del Collio! Nei paraggi inoltre, sempre a Corno di Rosazzo, merita la visita all'Abbazia, una vera chicca che ci è stata consigliata alla reception (grazie!).

Forse unico neo la colazione: il Gigante ha adottato una scelta a mio avviso molto bella volta all'anti spreco, ossia quella di compilare la richiesta della colazione il giorno prima, appunto per evitare sprechi. Probabilmente per la colazione salata è diverso, ma io ho scelto una colazione dolce e mi sarebbe piaciuto magari vedere qualche prodotto più locale/territoriale rispetto a scelte più commerciali (es. yogurt). Però è veramente un piccolo difetto in un oceano di aspetti invece super positivi.
