Les Patios du Marais 2

They were kind in letting us move to a lower apartment when we asked. That apartment was much, much nicer and more comfortable. We liked the terraces and place where we could sit around tables. Liked the closeness to attractions and eating places, even in August.

They did not send a door code to get onto the premises, nor did they say just to shove the door hard because the lock was loose. Internet was hard to get onto despite their card, and then it went out completely for our last 24 hours, with no response to my inquiries. All communication was in email (which for us didn’t work for awhile when we weren’t connected to the Internet; there is no central desk with receptionist or manager. Smokers on the terraces made it occasionally distasteful to sit there. Our initial room had the bed in a loft that was inaccessible to anyone over 4 feet tall, so we had to use the pull-out couch with a very lumpy mattress.

The location was excellent for exploring the city. Cafes restaurants and bars nearby. Walking distance to Notre Dame. Supermarkets close by.

Unfortunately loud neighbours laughing, slamming doors and moving furniture in the late night/early morning hours spoilt the stay. Also a bit concerned about the fire evacuation route seemed to be down a single spiral stairwell.

It was very clean and in a great location. Lots of cafes,restaurants and deli shops on the corner. As well few minutes from Sebastopol metro station.

Second day a bit noisy early in the morning due the city council facilities. Nothing to do with property.

Second visit, excellent location

Disappointing second visit. Hairdryer not working, towel rail not working so wet towels for second day.
