Hôtel So Marais

Great location in the heart of Le Marais. We knew in advance that the hotel didn’t have air conditioning, so that wasn’t a surprise. The room (102) was a good size, the shower was excellent, and everything was spotlessly clean. The complimentary coffee and free luggage storage were nice touches. Overall, a great stay and good value for the location. I’d happily stay here again.

Great location. Stairs are awful. We were on 5th floor and it was so difficult to navigate alone and with bags really hard.

It’s a very small place as most places are in Paris. The room is extremely snug (even for us who are very used to small hotel rooms). Room was cleaned and bed was comfy. Smart tv was great for us. Overall It was fine but would only recommend for young couples or solo travellers for a max of 2 nights with no large suitcases. We did have a rubbish fan provided barely worked and it was roasting but they promptly replaced it the next day so can’t complain. We saw no staff the whole trip but was able to WhatsApp them when needed. Location fine, closer to the Louvre (20min walk) but quite far from Eiffel tower.

Stairs were a bit of a nightmare, narrow and winding. Also must be fairly thin walls as could hear most people coming up the stairs.
