A comfortable and pleasing overnight stop, enhanced by the warm welcome.

We've stayed before, and always enjoyed a truly warm welcome. The room and facilities were squeaky-clean, and we had a view out over the river and of the two iconic bridges. It was New Year's Eve and we strangers were welcomed into the community of regulars in the bar, to celebrate The Bells.

There is always a dense scattering of cigarette butts on the ground outside the two doors into the premises. That is dirty and unsightly, and forms part of the First Impression. There has to be a better way.

The view over the river was superb, breakfast did not disappoint as it was cooked to order and very good.

Pleasant venue, friendly staff, clean room, good selection of food and drinks.

Arrived on a Sunday evening ready for a Monday morning meeting over the bridge. Very pleasant evening Carbonara meal, tremendous breakfast the next morning.

I had room 1 with a great extra large bed and a lovely shower. Unfortunately, I sleep with my window open for fresh air and the pub guests, in for the quiz, were seemingly smoking below my window, which was distinctly unpleasant.

Real gem of a find

Everything was perfect. Staff were amazing and friendly. Food was exceptional. Best gammon my husband had ever eaten. Room was absolutely beautiful. Cosy and warm. Really comfy bed. Lovely little balcony overlooking the water.

Second visit - staff as friendly and rooms as clean as 7 years ago

Meals were very good. Too much food so dont order a starter and expect to eat a whole main course. Love the view over the Tamar river. Its a quiet area to stay in.

The shower cubical needs to have a folding screen as the sliding door does not allow a larger person to access it comfortably. I ofund the pillows a bit hard

Great value, lovely hosts, wonderful beer & food.

We ate lunch here as we checked in (which we were able to do early) before heading off to a family wedding. We also had breakfast before departing. Food was excellent. The lady front of house downstairs (maybe the owner) was just lovely and so helpful. Oh and the ales on tap were just excellent. The view in the room was wonderful over the water, all in all, very happy & pleasantly surprised!

For the price we paid, you'd struggle to find better value for money. It's a pub B&B, you can't ask for much more than what they offer :) I found the bed very firm, but whilst that isn't for me, some people would be happy with it.

Stunning location with beautiful views, room was clean and bed super comfortable. lovely shower with nice fluffy towels, We had a lovely evening meal in the pub and due to an early start asked if it was possible to have a breakfast sandwich to take with us nothing was to much trouble

Excellent value and the pie is fantastic!

I stay here a fair bit for work and is the type of place you feel comfortable on your own. But in all honesty, it's the pie that keeps me coming back here.

Great value for money, outstanding in its category. The room was spacious, appropriate temperature, and the bathroom was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable, and the staff was super helpful.

Lovely weekend break

Comfortable good sized, modern rooms and spotlessly clean. Little balcony with the view over the Tamar was an added bonus. Staff were very friendly and took time to get to know us. Food was very good with plenty of choice at breakfast and a varied menu in the evenings too. The inn itself has a great history and is in a lovely peaceful spot, handy for visiting Plymouth and Saltash.

Fantastic stay wonderful location!

Fantastic location wonderful views of the Tamar Bridge across to Cornwall from our bedroom (room 1). So quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff made it feel like home. Excellent breakfast and evening meal on first night. We has the delicious fish and chips.

Great little find, with fantastic views

Fantastic little inn overlooking the river Tamar, great views. Room very modern with large comfortable bed. Room 2 at the front of the inn with fantastic views. A choice of cooked breakfasts included in the price. Very happy and friendly staff...what's not to love. Great little find and would definitely recommend. 👍🏼

Great selection of meals for dinner. Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked to yr order and nothing was a problem had parking right beside the Inn. Beer garden across the wee road allowed you to be right by the water.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious with a balcony overlooking the river. The bed was comfortable and the shower was powerful.

Food could have been better, our evening meal was just ok and breakfast was greasy.
