Peaceful location, stunning views, and truly exceptional hospitality!

We absolutely loved our stay at Chalet Rubicon. The location in Les Houches is incredibly peaceful—just a three-minute walk to the bus stop into Chamonix and direct access to the TMB trail system. The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and full of natural light. The bathroom had a view of Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi—seriously stunning. We especially appreciated the flexibility of the staff: after one night, we asked to extend and they let us stay in the same room. Maray, the breakfast host, was amazing—super warm, helpful, and made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. Booking a hot tub and sauna session was the perfect way to wind down after a long day.

Honestly, the only downside was having to leave. We’ll definitely be coming back after our Tour du Mont Blanc.

Best Breakfast that we ever taste!!!

The Breakfast prepared by the manager Maray, with a lot of options & delicious. Room cleanest, confortable beds, good views, jacuzzi and great location. Just 6 minutes from the city of Chamonix.

The door didn't open from inside. It had a issues with the look. However the owner came an apology to us for the inconvinience.

A new, nice chalet close to Chamonix

The chalet is quite new and has beautiful views and surroundings in Les Houches approximately a 30 min bus ride from Chamonix. The lady prepraing the breakfast was super friendly and also the breakfast was of good quality. She made everything possible so that our breakfast and stay is as good as possible. The check in was easy, with a door code, the room was clean. Overall we liked it a lot and would recommend a stay here. However, be mindful that this is a shared chalet, some rooms have a separate toilet like ours had, but some not. The terrace, breakfast areas are shared with other guests.

The sound isolation is not great, so you will definitely hear the other guests. However, it did not bother us much. Not so much to dislike really but some small things that could improve the stay for other guests: - it would be nice to provide more space to pack in the rooms as they are quite small already and lack shelves, cabinets, etc. For example the small sofa chair is completely useless in our opinion and could be replaced with a cabinet, or some shelves and that would improve the situation a lot. - some vegetables to go with the breakfast would improve the selection at a cheap price However overall we definitely liked the place, and would gladly recommend it.

Exceptional

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice the chalet was, especially the common area. We were one of two parities staying the night. They had a washer and dryer we can use for a cost when it’s available. We watched Netflix in the common area and it was very enjoyable.

A little paradise where it’s felt good to be.

The place is amazing, and the view over the mountains 🏔️ is incredible. Modern and well equipped with everything you need. The parking place was a+for us. Very friendly host was more then helpful. She answered quickly to all our needs, and even arranged very quickly a extra night for us.The staff was very helpful and explained us everything about the trips around and how we get from point A to point B.

Everything was perfect, so I don’t have anything to complain.

The chalet is a beautiful building in a great location. We especially loved the outside area and the big shared living room, which had lovely views and a super comfy couch. :-) The host was really nice and communication was easy. The self check-in worked really well and was convenient. Would definitely recommend!

La chambre était comme sur les photos. La salle de bain était très spacieuse. La literie très confortable. Le velux donnait sur le Mont blanc , une vue de rêve et possibilité de s’endormir avec les étoiles . Les parties communes sont bien décorées . La localisation proche de chamonix .

Nous…. Nous préférons un vraie accueil, pas un code d’entrée et des explications sur des ardoises . On sait maintenant pourquoi il n’y a pas de tv dans la chambre( du moins la nôtre au 2eme étage ) mal insonorisé ,on entendait tout les bruits ainsi que les voisins très peu respectueux du silence . La cuisine etait brouillon avec un avant goût du petit déjeuner éparpillé partout . Petit déjeuner très basic, produits de grande surface aucun produits locaux , croissant coupe en deux j’avais jamais vu ça : déjeuner du pauvre . J’ai été aussi choqué de voir que les deux personnes assis à côté de moi , on fait leur sandwich pour leur journée laissant le buffet pain vide pour les autres . L’hôtesse bien gentille présente a proposé une cuisson de pain sous vide mais je n’étais plus dans un bon état d esprit .

Très belle chambre tranquille avec bon petit dej. MAIS PAS DE TOILETTE !

La toilette ne fonctionne pas ! Nous avons dû utiliser la toilette de l’établissement deux étages plus bas (y cimpris la nuit!). On nous proposé de quitter avec remboursement mais difficile de trouver une chambre un samedi soir, nous n’avions pas d’auto et après le tour du Mont Blanc. On nous a aussi proposé un sceau pour transvider dr l’eau de la douche vers la toilette! Le proprio a refusé de nous offrir un dédommagement !

Unkomplizierter Aufenthalt

Ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in Les Houches. Das Chalet hat einen tollen, großzügigen Aufenthaltsraum und die großen Fenster erlauben einen fantastischen Ausblick. Außerdem war die Dame, welche Frühstück macht sehr sympathisch.

An unserem Anreisetag war schlechtes Wetter und der späte Check-In (16:00 Uhr) empfanden wir als ungünstig. Allerdings konnten wir bereits eine Stunde früher unser Zimmer beziehen! Das Türschloss unseres Zimmers war nicht ganz intakt.

Le chalet très moderne, est très bien placé. Les grandes fenêtre rendent le lieu très lumineux et donne beaucoup de charme. Maray, qui s'occupe du petit-déjeuner, fait également tout le charme de ce lieu. Un grand merci à elle !

Nous étions dans une chambre et nous entendions très bien nos voisins de chambre. Heureusement que le soir est calme dans le chalet, mais cela pourrait être mieux insonorisé.

Merveilleux séjour

Nous avons ADORÉ notre séjour! C’est propre, c’est super beau et que dire de l’accueil de l’employée sur place. L’endroit est bien tenu, tranquille et nous avons adoré le service du petit déjeuner. Merci pour le ventilateur dans la chambre. Ceux qui veulent profiter du spa ou jacuzzi seront gâtés. Bel espace de vie: grande salle commune, tables et chaises a l’extérieur pour ceux qui veulent profiteer de la belle temperature

Noisy with absolutrly no insonorisation

Stylé et moderne.

Impossible de fermer un œil la nuit. Aucune insonorisation et on entend absolument tout. On se réveille toutes les heures chaque fois que quelqu’un va au toilettes la nuit et ensuite quand ils se réveillent dès l’aube. La salle des bains commune était droit derrière nos oreillers. Finalement on a regretté notre choix car on voulait seulement dormir et il se trouve que c’est impossible dans ce chalet tellement mal conçu.

Une magnifique tromperie digne des meilleures chaînes d'hôtellerie "low cost"

Infrastructure quasiment neuve.

Ni hôtel, ni gîte, ce concept, aux sanitaires partagés, quasiment sans personnel, doté de sauna, spa, cuisine et parkings non utilisables (? ...) dépend de l'hygiène et de la propreté de ses visiteurs... En bref, si vous appréciez, les poils flottants dans la crasse et la mousse de shampoing au fond de la baignoire bouchée et maculée de traces de pieds... Le siphon apparemment obstrué par ce genre de mélange habituel faute d'entretiens ainsi que les jolies serviettes, tapis de bain trempés roulés en boule au pied des toilettes de salle de bain (dont nous passerons sur l'état...), les lentilles jetables usagées négligemment laissées au quotidien sur le coin de lavabo... strictement rien pour étendre votre serviette et/ou votre peignoir compris dans l'offre et enfin une magnifique cuisine rendue non opérationnelle et remplacée par des propositions de repas pour un dîner collectif à 28 euros/pers.... Surtout n'hésitez pas ! Neither hotel nor gîte, this concept, with shared bathroom, almost without staff, equipe with sauna, spa, kitchen and inusable parking lots (? ...) depend on the hygiene and cleanliness of its visitors... In short, if you like, the floating hairs in the dirt and the shampoo foam at the bottom of the bathtub blocked and stained with footprints... The siphon apparently blocked by this kind of usual mixture due to lack of maintenance as well as the pretty towels, soaked bath mats rolled into a ball at the foot of the bathroom toilet (I'll skip over the state...), the used disposable lenses carelessly left daily on the corner of the sink, strictly nothing to hang your towel and/or your bathrobe included in the and finally a magnificent kitchen for preparing your meals rendered inoperable... meal suggestions for a collective dinner at 28 euros/person are suggested... as a replacement... Don't hesitate!
