Palais Khum

The property was very central only a minute from the outskirts of the markets and about 10-15 minute walk to the koutoubia where there’s more markets and restaurants. The staff immediately were very kind we were told all the ins and outs of Marrakesh, what to do and what to look out for this was really helpful as our first time here. The food was delish and stayed open late for our late flight. Room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels everyday. There’s a small sign at the door to the right which is hard to see at first but you can go through the restaurant to get in too.

Love that location in the medina! It’s a very quiet place and the rooftop allows fabulous views.

The building itself was beautifully designed and very tastefully decorated. The location is quite good, as well. Several of the staff, including the man and woman who lead breakfast service and the people at front office desk, were kind.

This hotel is not as well maintained as the photos suggest and appears to have experienced some decline. There is dust and dirt everywhere, and the walls are in need of washing. Many little things--for example, bird poop dripping from pictures in the hotel hallways, grime on the lounge chairs on the patios, blackened grout in the showers. Also, the rooftop patio was dirty and not well maintained. Each morning when I left my room the staff only member in the building was asleep in the lobby, and I did not see the owner at all during our week there. Also, just be aware that there is only air conditioning in the bedrooms. The rest of the building has no AC.
