Everything was good 😌 Must visit if you wants some different experience. The vibe was so aesthetic, Lawn area was clean and maintained. The owner ‘Ms.Nalini’ met personally and she has very pleased personality. She took care of each n everything.

The only thing bothered me was that they didn’t attend my calls while I was confirming my booking, which must be attended.

Poor staff management, lack/no-staff availability post 10 PM, no room cleaning took place despite staying for 2 nights, packaged water was made available after every request/ no complimentary water, geyser was not properly functioning in 8 degrees, windows & doors creaking, owner (lady) was rude, unprofessional & inconsiderate. A peaceful, nature-filled retreat with beautiful heritage vibes—refreshing, calming, and truly memorable.

The property is absolutely serene and beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery that instantly makes you feel relaxed and disconnected from city chaos. The traditional architecture with white arches and balconies gives a heritage, haveli-style charm, while the well-maintained garden, tall palm trees, and open courtyard create a peaceful natural atmosphere. The fountain area adds to the calmness, and even small details like birds and open green lawns make the place feel alive and close to nature. It’s spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and perfect for slow mornings and quiet evenings.

Honestly, there was very little to dislike. If I had to mention something, it would only be that time passes too quickly here—you start wishing you had booked a longer stay to enjoy the calm surroundings and greenery even more.

It’s a beautiful property. Very well maintained. Love the garden area. We did morning yoga there. I went with my Japanese friends and they all love the place. Nalini mam was very helpful . We will definitely come again.

Everything was very bad. Neither it was clean nor the staff friendly. The owner of the property is a old lady and was very rude. Taps in the bathroom were all chocked and water pressure was very low....towels they provide are very dirty. Rooms were full of mosquitos.

I stayed 10 days at the Shahar Palace, it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were so friendly, kind, and always willing to help. The location is fantastic, nice and quiet , and yet only a 5 minute walk to the metro into the centre! And very safe feeling!

A guest-house in a posh colony

We had chosen the property after checking the location online which is central & approachable. Rooms are spacious with window ac & tv (not used) overlooking a garden.

Shahar Palace is actually a guest house with minimalist facilities. Owners/staff hadn't checked for our booking, there was no one at the reception when we arrived around 4:30pm. Owner (a lady) came and asked us to pay for the tariff, fair enough. No room choice was given. She informed us they close the kitchen at 10pm. No drinking water was provided in the room until we asked for it the next morning, luckily we were carrying our own water bottle which lasted up in the night. Upon calling the room service in the morning, attendant said there is no water tank, later he brought a Bisleri for which we paid ₹25 while checking out. We had ordered for breakfast from the menu provided in the room. Attendant said no eggs & masala tea is over. So we settled for poha & the toast. Restaurant was small & furniture was creaky. My family (myself, spouse & 9 yr old daughter) were the only occupants during the stay, though it was a short stay but the whole vibe of the guest house was very unwelcoming. 11:50am we received a call from the owner that her staff is waiting for us, we checked out at 12:10. Happy to have left the hostel vibes !! I visit Jaipur frequently for work & leisure and have stayed at nearby Hari Mahal Palace by Pachar group multiple times so this time I thought to stay at a new location. I must say I was disappointed. Shahar Palace is a lovely property in the middle of a posh colony. The management could charge more for its location & the services if they agree to provide with a smile & some warmth. We are ready to pay more!

horrible, pathetic, painful,

the property location, coz its in a residential area.

1. They charged hidden cost which was not updated in the booking.com website. While we went for check out then they let us know that we have to pay more that it's showing on the website. 2. Property owner has serious behavioral issue. When I requested her to explain us the hidden cost and the payment issue, she immediately called her son who is even worse and rude in talking with guests. Both mother and son behaved like guests from Bangladesh are lower than them (They are racist actually). While I showed them the hotel price in booking.com and also mentioned that we had paid the amount in our previous stays what was shown in the website, he became angry and strated shouting and told us to leave and ask booking.com to reimburse our money. 3. the bed sheet was torned and dirty. we reached at the place by 10:30 pm from Udaipur and the whole place was looking like a haunted house, all the lights were turned off. None was around. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get the owner in the reception. They even had no options for dinner (kitchen was closed) and no other restaurant were nearby the hotel. A big NO to the hotel.

It was a pleasant stay with no issues at all. The breakfast was underwhelming but the service was quick and efficient. W

The property is big and lush, very peaceful and tucked away from the Main Street. We loved the area immediately outside our rooms where one can sit and have a smoke, overlooking the garden below.

The only thing we were inconvenienced by were the roosters that would start crowing at 5am. The hotel could do with more yellow light instead of white light in the corridors.

We would like to thank Mrs Singh and her family for the wonderful stay. If one has to experience "home away from home" and wants to truly have a relaxing vacation, this is the place to be.
