Great quiet location surrounded by nature

Very friendly and helpful owner, we had fruit cake in the fridge at the arrival 😀 great location in the middle of nature, quiet, the house is on a hill above the town and there is a wonderful view from the terrace, Billa is 15 mins by walk down in the centre, as well great sauna world at the lake.

Cozy apartment with private terrace, beautiful views, and a super sweet host

Haus Elfriede was incredible! Super cute little apartment complete with a small kitchen, plates, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, etc., a clean bathroom, a cozy living room, and a super comfy bed. We came in the summer and if we kept the shades drawn during the day, the apartment stayed cool and comfortable for sleeping. Elfie, the host, was sweet and generous—she brought my husband and I two slices of cherry cake each morning to make our honeymoon extra special! She also helped us arrange a taxi on our last day. Haus Elfriede is also in a beautiful location, a pleasant walk down the hill to the lake town of Millstatt, where there are restaurants, bike rentals, a beautiful monastery, and of course the lake shore for swimming.

Because Millstatt is a lake town, there were some ants around the kitchen when we visited in the summer. However, the host Elfie came right away and cleaned them up and they were manageable for the week we were there. For accessibility reasons, it's important to note that Haus Elfriede is a bit up the mountain, about a 30 minute walk, from the town, but the climb really isn't that rigorous and has incredible views!

A place to feel at home

Everything was perfect: it is typical, adorable and very clean. Elfriede is also an unforgettable host, greeting us with homemade cake, giving us chocolate and being kind in taking care of us (new towels often, kitchen perfectly equipped,...). The place is warm for the winter, beautifully arranged and very well located for skiing (with a car) while having a stunning view. We can not say enough to express how we felt at home there. At the end, Elfriede came out to wave us goodbye from her house, and we miss it already.

Buitenwijk van Millstatt te bereiken via smalle weg. Even naar de Millstatersee lopen is er niet bij ,want de lokatie ligt nogal hoog en de weg is behoorlijk stijl.

Der Aufenthalt am Millstätter See hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Die Lage der Wohnung mit Terrasse und Ausblick auf Goldeck und die umliegenden Berge war sehr schön. Eine Liegewiese mit Gartenliegen konnte auch genutzt werden. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und offen für alle Fragen. Man wurde sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Von der Wohnung aus kann man viele Ausflüge machen.
