Peace and beauty in the heart of the village.

Beautiful house with lovely owners who made us feel very welcome indeed. Our room was large and airy with lots of light, comfortable beds with excellent bed linen and a great shower. Wonderful to have the courtyard parking next to the house. Le Lude is a very interesting village and the château and its gardens are delightful.

Very pleasing characterful and comfortable accommodation and good local dining and attractions.

Particularly excellent breakfast and we enjoyed dining at the communal table. Loved the house decor and enjoyed sitting in the garden near the very attractive pool. Also a pleasure to stroll to the very interesting Chateau and its beautiful park and down to the river. Lori and Gavin offered plenty of helpful information.

We had had a difficult and very tiring car journey and would have greatly appreciated a cup of tea and a glass of beer on arrival. There was some confusion regarding our requested evening meal but the apology was very welcome.

This is a real home from home. The hosts were there to make your perfect. Small things like, tissues in the roon, a night light in the bathroom, coffee and tea facilities, water, and biscuits. A superb breakfast.

An enjoyable stay

We were made to feel very welcome and our room was lovely and comfortable and breakfast was very good. The chambre d'hôte is in the centre of Le Lude and there is a beautiful chateau to visit and very good restaurants nearby. We hope to return later in the year and stay for more than one night.

We only stayed one night en-route to the channel ferry but I would like to stay longer next time.

Great hotel for a stopover!

Lovely, welcoming and friendly hosts. Great decor and comfortable beds. Didn’t use the pool but looked gorgeous and inviting. Great central location. Private secure parking.

It is a converted house so you can hear the traffic noise and other occupants opening the gate, parking, closing the front door, coming up the wooden stairs, closing their bedroom doors etc.

Charming home run by Lori and Gavin! Great location in the city centre and near nice restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the very tasty breakfast, including the home made jams and eggs "over-easy". Delightful, welcoming and relaxing!

We first visited this beautiful B&B six years ago. It’s even nicer than we remembered. The current owners, Lori and Gavin go out of their way to make you feel at home. Lovely quality bed linen, comfy bed and great shower. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the scrambled eggs much enjoyed! We would definitely like to come back.

The house is beautiful. Gavin and Lori, are wonderful hosts, very helpful and managed to pull some strings to enable us to eat, rather late, at a local restaurant. The bed linen and towels were sparkling clean, crisps sheets and fluffy towels.

Beautiful property with rooms full of character blending traditional and modern. Secure parking, very dog friendly, and wonderful hosts! Excellent breakfast with homemade produce. Good location makes it so easy to walk into the centre and around the town.

I would recommend a stay at 5 Grande Rue

great location a short walk to the restaurant in town. Gavin and Lori were great hosts . The pool was warm and our room was comfy. I liked the tea and coffee facility on the landing with a fridge to use. Breakfast was very plentiful and tasty. We were also able to charge our hybrid car during our overnight stay.

The only thing that we didn’t like was the dustman woke us up at 5 am. As we were staying on a week night and in the centre of town I suppose this couldn’t be helped .

Wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and we were offered eggs cooked in anyway we wished. The whole house was cleaned to a very high standard. This is the best B&B we have stayed in for many years

Charming character French Chambers d'hote in a delightful countryside town.

The owners Lori and Gavin made us very welcome . Their chambers d'hote is a delightful French Town house located in the centre of Le Lude , near to the Chateau and the Town hall. The accommodation and breakfast were excellent.

Coffee and tea station ,that one could have a drink on arrival . A drink before dinner ,which is a really civilised.. The hosts were really welcoming,which is really good especially,when travelling alone .
