This is a magical, family owned and operated farm. The authenticity of the staff, food and location is unmatched. The setting is perfect. The food is delicious. This farm has been in the family for 5 generations and has retained its roots in Sardinian culture. It is such a peaceful place with olive trees and vineyards. Many quiet places to relax. Outdoor dining is stunning. Incredible wine and food and olive oil — all from the very land you dine on. Chef Marcello is a true gem. Antoinella and Maria are so accommodating and helpful. A 30 minute drive to the beautiful Cala Gonone beaches. Short drive to Nuoro - with wonderful museums / an artistic center.

Ambiance:
The location cannot be topped. Lots of attractions within a 30 minute drive, such as beaches, archaelogical sites, cute little towns, mountains for hikes, as well as wineries, cheese shops and olive groves. There is enough to keep you busy for at least a week, if not longer. This was one of a total of 3 places we stayed at in Sardinia over a 10 day trip, and it was by far the best. I wish I stayed longer than 3 nights!
The views are even more incredible in person. Driving up to it felt unreal. The hotel is very well kept, and the surrounding garden is very romantic and picture perfect. There are lots of friendly cats and dogs around which made our stay that much better.
Food:
We had the buffet breakfast here once, and there was a variety of cereal, cooked breakfast (eggs) and savoury options of bread, cheese and sliced deli meat options. You also had a selection of tarts and desserts, so you will be spoiled for choice.
The dinner menu was good, the price is 40 Eur per person. This included multiple courses- 2 starters, a pasta dish, which was then followed by a meat dish and salad. The price is comparable to other Agriturismos within the area. Everything tasted super fresh, and had a home-cooked touch.
We also did a wine tasting, which came with a selection 3 of the house wines, and a small charcuterie board to share between two.
Location tips:
You will need a car to see all the attractions. I would highly recommend visiting Azienda Agricola F.lli Puddu to buy some wine or salsiccia, and walking aorund the vineyard. Azienda Agricola Badu e Chercu was great for lunch/ dinner, with a lot of animals and a very friendly dog. Oliena is also a short drive away from the Agriturismo, with lots of cafes for morning coffee- one of our favourites being Bar Blues.
The bathroom lighting was a bit dark, made shaving a bit difficult.
The shower doors let out a lot of water, so we needed lots of towels to help dry the floor.
