Unique and tranquil, a place I normally would not travel to. Great for hiking and climbing.
Beds were very hard. Chairs in restaurant were a little uncomfortable. Maps everywhere but no way of knowing where you were on the map. Lots of stairs to go from one place to another on property. Average Italian food but very fresh and locally sourced. Pool not heated and very cold.

The staff were warm and efficient. The swimming pool was excellent.
A very idiosyncratic, rambling and dated hotel which will not suit everyones taste. Lots of character, but an overwhelming amount of artefacts and displays everywhere which doesnt add to comfort or enjoyment and can just feel messy.Rooms and common areas are very tired and in need of refurb - hotel can be tricky to navigate around
