Stunning

The staff were very kind and accommodating, the lake was also very beautiful. Our view of the mountain was amazing and we would thoroughly recommend staying just for that.

Getting here without a car was interesting as the only buses that run here are at 5am or 6am so take that into account if your getting public transport.

Extraordinary, unique location. Quiet and remote, with an unusual history. Lovely swimming in the lake. Staff were very helpful and kind. Traditional buildings very carefully restored.

Breakfast was a bit minimal, although additional cheese and meats were available on request.

Great stay

We had 7 wonderful days at the place. Incredibly friendly and welcoming host couple and staff. One felt at home and got many tips for hikes, locations, history, etc. Definitely worth a visit again.

Breakfast was only coffee, toast & croissant. Could've been better with some simple fruit & eggs! Was never able to connect to Wifi which meant completely shut off from the world as there is no cell service in the area!

A wonderful location - rustic in every sense of the word.

The location was superb - just one of a kind. Couldn't have been more beautiful. Staying in a building that old was very special. We enjoyed dinner in the adjoining restaurant and our waiter there was quite a character. We were also pleased that there was a continental breakfast provided in the morning. We were pleasantly surprised by the waterfall area at the end of the lake path - it hadn't been mentioned anywhere before and it was stunning.

The bed was terrible - it felt like sleeping on the box spring vs. a mattress. It's too bad because we loved everything else about the stay. We wished that we could have slept comfortably. Apparently, the innkeeper didn't have my correct email address so it wasn't explained to us that we needed to pay cash and that we'd have to lug our suitcases up and down a quarter-mile long and steep driveway. He helped get our luggage down but we had to hoist it back up ourselves which was no fun.

Great landscape, perfect for hiking. Fantastic lake (try swimming, don‘t mind the plants). Very good restaurant, but often closed (unfortunately).

WLAN could be better (more often avaible, that means). Parking is sometimes difficult. Some reserved spots for the guests would be great. The espresso machine.

The setting is great, close to excellent hiking trails and beautiful places to see.

The bed was horrible, sagging in the center making it a fight all night not to roll into it. The shower head was broken pointing down and toward the wall so you effectively couldn't shower without holding it in place.

The location is amazing, the views quite scenic, and the area within driving distance is loaded with things to do and see. The restaurant serves really wonderful food at a fair price. All the staff are very friendly.

The property is advertised as "beachfront" with "beach access" which is downright false. The beach chairs have been removed, a fence has been constructed, and when I asked about swimming I was told it was not for swimming because its a protected fish habitat. I then noticed signs saying the same along the trail around the lake. I fully expected to spend a few days swimming in a serene lake and instead never swam once and never saw anybody else swim. I really think this listing needs to be modified to not falsely advertise this. Also, the bed was probably the worst I've ever slept in and I found it difficult to get a full nights sleep.

Superb

It’s super magical! Great swimming opportunities in the lake and creek further up. Amazing restaurant serving local trout, and home-made pasta. It’s really romantic and we kept coming back to eat and hang out at the lake even we slept in our air bnb apartment.

The staff was efficient but not very friendly. Only after returning to the restaurant a couple times the owner became warmer and friendlier.

The food in the restaurant was fantastic.

Little communication for example no mention that the restaurant was closed. Poor breakfast and no where to have a drink or snacks. And not making use of the great location as there was nowhere to get a good view of the lake.

La posizione essendo in un borgo piccolo era ottimale perché era appunto all’interno del borgo, i letti erano molto comodi anche i cuscini. Il borgo era fantastico.

Nonostante la mattina avessero acceso i termosifoni, la sera e la notte (che erano spenti), essendo stati a fine settembre la stanza e anche il bagno erano abbastanza freddi. Inoltre siamo arrivati intorno alle 13 e oltre a fare freddo, pioveva quindi cercavamo che qualcuno ci aprisse, insomma, abbiamo richiamato l’attenzione e hanno urlato “che succede?” io ovviamente ho risposto che avevo prenotato eccetera e mi ha risposto che prima delle 15 non potevano farci entrare, quindi siamo rimasti fuori al freddo ma per fortuna intorno alle 14 e qualcosa ci hanno accolti specifico che eravamo gli unici almeno a quell’ora. Inoltre, non posso dire che la stanza e il bagno erano sporchi ma nemmeno chissà quanto puliti anche perché fuori dalla nostra porta della stanza c’era uno scorpione morto…

Borgo incantevole

Io, mio marito e il nostro cane abbiamo trascorso una settimana davvero perfetta in questo albergo. La struttura si trova in un borgo incantevole, curato e tranquillo, ideale per rilassarsi immersi nella natura. L’accesso al lago è super comodo e ci ha permesso di goderci giornate splendide tra passeggiate e momenti di relax. Per gli amanti del trekking, la zona è davvero ricca di sentieri e percorsi panoramici: ogni giorno una nuova avventura! Unica piccola nota da considerare: nella zona prende bene solo la rete TIM, ma per noi non è stato un problema, anzi, un’occasione per staccare un po’ dal mondo digitale. Il personale dell’albergo è stato sempre cordiale, disponibile e attento alle nostre esigenze (anche quelle del nostro amico a quattro zampe!). Consigliatissimo a chi cerca natura, tranquillità e ospitalità autentica. Torneremo sicuramente!

Un posto da cartolina!

La casetta che abbiamo preso aveva tutti i servizi necessari e quello che mancava ci è stato fornito subito. Il posto è davvero bellissimo, da qui a piedi partono tanti sentieri CAI di diverse difficoltà. La struttura è dotata anche di spazi riservati vicino al lago con sdraie e ombrelloni, molto semplici ma assolutamente rilassanti dopo il trekking. Abbiamo mangiato al ristorante, tutto fresco e molto buono. Rapporto qualità/prezzo giusta. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, fleißig, schnell und liebenswert. Das Café und das dazugehörige Restaurant sehr schön und oberlecker. Der Ort ist spektakulär, für Wanderer und Naturliebhaber ein absolutes Highlight.

Das Hotel ist ein wenig beschwerlich zu erreichen und der anliegende See wäre ein schönerer Badesee, gäbe es bessere Möglichkeiten , hinein und hinaus zu gelangen. Die Anlage mit den Sonnenschirmen ein wenig vernachlässigt.

Liebevolle, außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in wunderschöner Umgebung!

Inmitten einer Herrlichen Landschaft gelegen geführt von einer sehr netten Gastgeberfamilie. Eine einwandfreie, feine Küche, ausgewählte Weine, nettes Frühstück. Kleiner Laden mit leckeren Sachen… für mich, der schon als Kind oft mit der Familie in Kalabrien bei Verwandten war, ist diese urige, wunderbare Unterkunft mit ihren Gerüchen und Eindrücken eine kleine Zeitreise gewesen. Unser Zimmer ebenso urig mit kleiner Küche und Esstisch, WLAN gibt es auf dem Zimmer, ansonsten der gebirgigen Landschaft wegen kaum Netz. Es war herrlich! Schöner Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in die apuanischen Alpen und auch der Strand ist nur eine Autostunde entfernt. Es sind zwar nur knapp 40km, die Strecke ist allerdings anspruchsvoll ;-) Danke an die sehr herzlichen, zuvorkommenden Menschen der Borgo Isola Santa!

Un piccolo borgo incantato.

Il borgo è minuscolo ma incantato, specchiato su un laghetto, veramente suggestivo. Il B&B è stato ricavato da una vecchia torre ed hanno mantenuto gli standard di tempi andati. Mi è piaciuta tantissimo l'atmosfera. I proprietari e il personale davvero gentilissimi e disponibili. Ci torneremo senz'altro per poterci anche pranzare.

Pace assoluta in riva al lago!

Hotel pulito e silenzioso, prima colazione continentale. Ottima posizione accanto alla chiesa e sul lago. Personale premuroso e gentile. La sera (era domenica) non c'erano ristoranti aperti, o meglio avremmo dovuto prendere l'auto, e ci hanno preparato un tagliere di affettati e formaggio.

Purtroppo abbiamo dovuto lasciare l'auto sulla strada principale poi scendere al Borgo. Incantevole, ma non comodo con il trolley.
