Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Host, der alles weiss über die Umgebung. Ein abgelegener, ruhiger Ort, der aber alles bietet, was man braucht.

We spent our summer holidays 2020 on this place with our 4 children. They said, it was the best holiday ever. We loved the place, the villa, all places we visited and the hospitality. We always remember the friendliness of Paolo, his helpfulness and the best Foccacia and Pizza!!! Thank you very much and sorry for the late rating. Mooie plek met heerlijk uitzicht. Wel wat jammer dat he vanuit dit huisje niet direct op balkon of terras uit kwam ...

Une semaine vraiment agréable dans cette très jolie maison toscane de 1636 remplie d'histoire et d'authenticité. Nous étions dans l'appartement Marcello. L'hôte est particulièrement agréable et aux petits soins. Les vues depuis le balcon et la piscine sont magnifiques et vous ne vous en lasserez pas !

The perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday Our family of five spent almost two weeks at Villa Benedetta in the small village Sillicano this summer (from 29 July to 10 August 2016). Right from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty by the very nice owner Paulo, who will do everything in his power to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. This is an old 18th century building with four seperate apartments, all very nicely kept and refurbished just enough to keep the right atmosphere, while still being well equipped and up to modern standards. The pool area is loveley and has comfortable sunbeds surounding a saltwater pool, and there is even an area for barbequing. While you are enjoying the views, take a sip of ice cold fresh spring water directly from the stream running through the property. Could it be more idyllic? The villa is situated right in the heart of Italy, well within driving distance of a lot of interesting places, like Pisa, Firenze, Lucca and Viareggio, just to mention a few. This is the place to go if you want to experience Tuscany at its best, with beautiful green, lushious countrysides and the genuine Italian feel. We will definitely be back in the near future!

Io partirei col dire 5 stelle meritate per tutto ma una in più la darei a Paolo ( il proprietario ) per la sua simpatia , cortesia e gentilezza... grazie Paolo. Detto questo, Villa Benedetta è stupenda dotata di ogni confort. Wi-fi, salone di ritrovo per una piacevole chiacchierata ,sorgente privata con una acqua buonissima e freschissima, una piscina da urlo situata sopra la villa quindi un panorama bellissimo per passare all'appartamento incantevole pulitissimo, arredato con cura e fornito di tutto. Per quanto riguarda le escursioni sono innumarevoli ne cito qualcuna: Grotta del Vento Orrido di Botri Ponte Tibetano sul Lago di Vagli Fortezza delle Verrucole Ecc. ecc. aaaa dimenticavo consiglio per chi vuole una pizza super il Ristoro Kanagia a Camporgiano. My Family and I stayed at Paolos wonderful villa for a week and would have stayed longer if possible. The villa is so authentic dating back to the 1700's and is kept nice and clean. The garden and surrounding areas are kept nicely. In and around you will find herbs you can use for cooking and in the back you will find a natural water fountain. Inside the apartment and villa the furniture and bedrooms accompany the villa nicely giving it a very romantic and yet rustic feel. It's Italian for sure. The view of the valley and town from balcony is stunning and becomes the natural habitat when you have the upstairs apartments. The villa is also equipped with a good sized pool that my kids spent hours in. It is possible to have a barbecue up by the pool too. The village of Sillicano is nice and has a small super market that can meet your basic needs for bread, vegetables and local produce. Paolo is very nice and helpful when needed and is very hospital. It is definitely a place we would like to return to. The only real draw back is the WI FI connection that comes and goes, but apart from that a lovely place. Nicolas and Marie

Villa Benedetta is een authentieke Toscaanse villa gelegen in het hart van de Garfagnana, het minder bekende Toscane, gelegen tegen de helling van de Alpi Apuane. De streek heeft dan wel niet de toeristische trekpleisters zoals San Gimignano, Volterra, Firenze…. Maar kent toch wel enkele architectonische pareltjes zoals Castiglione del Garfagnana, Castelnuovo, Barga, … en natuurlijk niet te vergeten Lucca. Voor diegene die houden van het authentieke Toscane, de natuur, wandelingen in de bergen, uitstap naar Carrara, Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio stad van de carnaval, Cinque Terre is Villa Benedetta te Sillicano een goede uitvalbasis. Bij aankomst in Sillicano domineert deze imponente villa het gehuchtje. Je laat dan ook beter de wagen achter op de “piazza”, om dan via een steile baan de villa te bereiken. Wat de bagage betreft moet u zich geen zorgen maken. Paolo gastheer en tevens eigenaar, haalt deze met zijn wagen op en bij vertrek brengt hij de bagage tot aan de wagen. In deze robuuste villa zijn 4 appartementen onder gebracht, elk met zijn eigenheid en rekening houdend met het historisch karakter van de woonst. Je moet maar vragen aan de Paolo naar de familiare geschiedenis van de villa en hij zal daar met veel anima en passie over verhalen. Er is ook een privékapel aan de villa verbonden waar enkele van zijn voorouders begraven liggen. Via een trap naast de villa bereik je het hoger gelegen tuingedeelte van waar men een prachtig uitzicht heeft over de omgeving. Hier bevindt zich ook een uitnodigend zwembad met de nodige ligstoelen. Terras en grote barbecue. Het is hier zalig vertoeven op een warme dag met een glaasje en een goed boek, enkel het geluid van een verre tractor en ergens een “nonna” die haar kleinkind vermaant, verstoren de namiddagse stilte. Het zwembad wordt iedere ochtend door Paolo zorgvuldig gereinigd en gecontroleerd. Bij problemen of vragen kan je altijd bij deze charmante gastheer terecht en op vraag maakt hij ook een plaatselijk gerecht klaar. Het is dan ook om al die redenen dat we onze vakantie hier al meerdere malen hebben doorgebracht.

Danke Paolo für den wunderschönen Sommerurlaub in deiner Villa Benedetto. Unsere Ferienwohnung Lola war mit allem ausgestattet, dass man benötigt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben und überlegen wieder zu kommen!! Paolo ist stets sehr um seine Gäste und das ganze Anwesen bemüht, mit Liebe fürs Detail. Auch der Gesellschaftsabend war traumhaft mit leckerem Essen und Getränken, wir freuen uns neue Bekannte in Frankreich und Italien kennen gelernt zu haben. Wir haben sehr viel Ruhe genossen, die Kinder den Pool und für jeden der es etwas aktiver mag, gibt es sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten in naher Umgebung. Lucca ist auf jeden Fall einen Ausflug wert!! Wir waren sehr begeistert, auch wenn wir nicht damit gerechnet haben, dass es soweit oben auf dem Berg ist, aber das Klima betreffend, im Sommer die richtige Wahl. Dieser Urlaub bleibt unvergesslich. We had a wonderful time at the lovely Villa Benedetta. Too bad that the time went by so quickly. We felt very welcome and the landlord prepared not only a delicious breakfast every morning but did everything else to make us feel comfortable. Ask him on the first day about tips what you should see or if you are planing a hike. The rooms are very cosy, it was just all there, what we needed. The barbecue place was much appreciated with the best view you could imagine! In the morning we got up at 6 o'clock to watch the sunrise over the mountains from our balcony - stunning! Unfortunately we had no time to test the pool. Very sad, the pool was very well maintained and so was the rest of the remarkable property. We thank Marcello for the excellent hospitality and would have loved to stay another two weeks - or more :) For anyone who would like to have a peaceful and quiet place in nature, but is also up and running, to explore the beautiful scenery, you're in very good hands.

Wat hebben we genoten van het verblijf in deze prachtige villa! Het is een plaatje, als je de hal binnenstapt, stap je voor je gevoel vervlogen tijden in.Vanaf het zwembad een geweldig uitzicht over de bergen. Dit appartement lijkt me de mooiste van de drie, het meest is mij het sfeervolle balkon bijgebleven. Vanaf het balkon uitzicht over de bergen maar ook het gewone leven van het kleine dorpje zie je onder je afspelen. Geweldig. We verbleven hier met onze 3 volwassen dochters die ook genoten. Een goed uitgerust appartement en de gastheer, Paolo, is heel vriendelijk en opgewekt. Hij spreekt niet zo goed engels maar dat maakte ons niet veel uit. Op verzoek kookt hij voor je, wij hebben daar geen gebruik van gemaakt maar als het net zo goed is als de gratis hapjes van het happy hour zal het zeker smaken. Het appartement is goed uitgerust met zelfs een kleine afwasmachine. Om de villa te bereiken moet je wel goed ter been zijn, het is een steile klim, ook het trapje naar het zwembad is best steil. Een mini-supermarkt met lekker brood ligt op korte loopafstand. De omgeving is mooi, ook om te wandelen. Wel kost het de nodige tijd om ergens te komen met de auto aangezien de wegen bochtig en vrij slecht zijn. Maar ga je voor de omgeving, boek dan je verblijf in deze villa!! What we enjoyed the stay in this beautiful villa! It is a picture, if you enter the hall, you step past your feeling in.Vanaf times the pool is a great view of the mountains. It seems to me the most beautiful of the three, stayed with me the most is the attractive balcony. From the balcony overlooking the mountains but also the ordinary life of the small village you see playing under you. Great. We stayed here with our three adult daughters who also enjoyed. A well equipped apartment and the host, Paolo, is very friendly and cheerful. He does not speak good English but that did not matter much. On request, he cooks for you, we do not use them but if it is as good as the free snacks from the happy hour will surely taste. The apartment is well equipped with even a small dishwasher. To reach the villa you have to be agile, it's a steep climb even the stairs to the pool is pretty steep. A mini-supermarket with good bread is a short walk away. The setting is beautiful, even to walk. However, it takes time to come up with the car as the roads are curvy and pretty bad somewhere. But you go to the area, book your stay in this villa!

Wij waren er deze zomer al geweest, nu in het najaar terug. Vriendelijke en charmante gastheer, karaktervolle woning met mooie tuin en zonnig gelegen zwembad. Mooie en rustige omgeving. Prachtige streek voor wie houdt van trekking. Ook in de herfst heeft deze streek zijn charmes. België Eravamo lì questa estate e di nuovo in autunno. Accoglienza gentile e incantevole, abitazione carattere con bel giardino e piscina soleggiata. La zona è bella e tranquilla. Bellissima zona per gli amanti del trekking. Anche in autunno è questa zone incantevole.

Excellente location, la maison, le jardin, la piscine, l'environement, tout est magnifique! Sans compter sur l'excellent accueil ainsi que sur les différents services proposés.Cependant il serait préférable de parler en temps plutôt quand distance pour les informations relatives au visites.
