Very good location close to City center and close to nearby restaurants, beds were comfortable and room was generally clean. The room has: Air condition, big TV screen, closet and big table and a chair. Reasonably priced.
No credit card payment and it was not stated in the Hotel page on Booking, Reception is 1 floor up and stairs is very high as the ground floor walls was around 8 meters from the street There were noises coming from the street at night several times and the window is not doing any sound isolation.

This is a family run hotel with wonderful staff who looked after me very well. The rooms are a generous size particularly as I was on my own. The hotel is situated in the old part of the city. It is easy to get around - I walked everywhere. This really is a glorious ruin of a city. Fab architecture that is literally crumbling. And very inexpensive compared to Western prices. As a Westerner you need to be prepared for a very different experience.
There is a simple breakfast each morning and hot tea was offered whenever I came in from my walks. Aircon was available in the room.and the bed was comfortable. There is no top sheet provided but a rug was on the bed for overnight drop in temperatures. The bathroom was quite adequate with plenty of hot and cold water. Bottled water and toilet paper was provided although I took tissues and wet wipes. Everything is available at local Carrefour Supermarket.
My grateful thanks to all staff, day and night who were so friendly and caring.And especially my driver who did a return trip to the airport to return my phone!!
I have no complaints. You have to be prepared for a visual assault walking around the city. Unfortunately, the streets are filled with much rubbish mostly plastic bags and containers and that extends into the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. However the people are gorgeous and welcoming. The new Alexandria Library is extraordinary. It really is like stepping back in time.
