- It gives a cabin in the woods vibe - exceptional dinner serving deer and bear. Amazing service - great Japanese breakfast. They made a special breakfast for my daughter with no extra charge - location is good as its the only one available in the National Park

-hotel needs some serious upgrade. Everything is outdated and dirty. The walls, carpets, doors are so old and filthy -smell in the room was unbearable. It seems that they dont open the windows so the room has a musky, mouldy, bamboo smell. I couldnt sleep at night - uncomfortable, outdated and dirty bathroom - im not sure if they cleaned the room - wooden onsen was the worst we’ve been. Mould everywhere. Dirty and small facility. Me and my daughter did not go in the water as it seemed horrible - money dont worth it ! A very pricey hotel for no reason - Booking.com should review this hotel asap

A great Japanese feel with welcoming and helpful staff, onsen and meals available in the dining room. A short way up the hill by car or on foot from the centre of town with room to park my vehicle. Excellent value for money.

This place was a mixed bag - location was great and staff were friendly. Accommodations were clean.

Room and Onsen were dated - not the most comfortable of futons, because of this value for money wasn’t really there.

Staff were organized, detailed, and friendly.

My room was two doors down from the microwave in the hall. Because the walls are thin everything seems really loud - microwave beeping, room doors slamming all night until about 11:30 pm and then starting up as early as 4 am as people are getting ready for a day of hiking. Talking in the hall by the tea and water fountain and microwave outside of my door could just as well been right in my room it seemed so loud. Courtesy of fellow guests could have been better.
