Aamiainen oli todella hyvä monipuolinen, talon emäntä oli itse tehnyt omenamehua, hilloa, keitti mua vartea puuron aamuisin. Pöydässä oli monenlaista herkkua leivänpäälle, keitettyä kanamunaa, anjovista, juustoa, itse kasvatettua kurkua, tomaattia, kinkkua, makkaraa, omelettia, viinereitä ym.
