La gentillesse des hôtes. A l'écoute et de très bon conseil. Franchement trés sympa , on a beaucoup discuté et on a été ravi. L'endroit est très joli avec des animaux et c'est très relaxant.

Monte Santa Catarina is in a magical area in the Alentejo. Beautiful landscape and so quiet - at night we heard only the soft sound of cowbells and frogs in the fields. Our room was big with a great view of the Monsaraz castle - and the air conditioning worked great. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety (even vegan options) and delicious homemade orange cake. The hosts were great - recommended a fabulous local restaurant for dinner and tips on other things to see in the area. We visited the Alqueva Dark Sky Observatory for star gazing (1 minute drive), Monsaraz (5 minute drive) and the Alqueva Lake (5 minute drive). The property also has a fantastic pool and outdoor lounging area to relax in.

Easy check in lovely host. Proximity to town and the dark sky experience. The private jacuzzi and separate apartment. Menagerie of animals was a curio for sure. On site parking good.

The bed was not comfy. But ok for one night. Public areas could be cleaned up some.
