big rooms and bathrooms, historic charm of the farmstead, nice breakfast, lush greenery during springtime, abundance of birds, friendly cats and dog; the host offered us an upgrade free of charge to two adjacent rooms instead of a family room which was wonderful for both the teenies and us

Breakfast was very simple. Kitchen cook not very hospitable, especially when Victoria left.

Definitely one of the most interesting and memorable places I have stayed in. You get to experience life in countryside.The facilities are great and it’s very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

The hotel location is well situation at Monsaraz.
We can feel the spring of the mattress in our room and it was uncomfortable, a lot of mosquitos, got bitten, we probably terminated more than 20-30 of them during the night and the next morning, so I didn't sleep much for the two nights.
Sound insulation of the house is poor, we can hear people talking from the lobby a level below us, as well as guests in the same corridor of the floor.
The bathroom, the shower curtain is old with yellow color stains, the ring holder is broken, the ceiling light above the mirror doesn't work, the window is not openable.
