A bit worn down

The staff were very helpful. There is a convenient laundry facility in the parking lot. The swimming pool is large, and the airport transportation is very convenient.

The room cleaning level can be improved

The waiter Donisette was helpful pointing out the bird feeder, when he realised I was interested.

Dinner in the restaurant

The location and price were the main reasons we chose this hotel and they were fine for a one-night stay before going to the airport the next day. The room was large and clean. We had to change rooms as our aircon didn't work in the first one and it was right on the street (good thing we moved because the street turned into a crazy party later on). The staff was patient with our lack of Portuguese (no English). The breakfast was good - the usual Brazilian b-fast with lots of cakes and other carbs.

We had just finished up a hot and dusty drive from the Pantanal and were happy to spend some time in the pool, then go eat. The pool had no ladder or stairs to get in it and the depth was not marked. My brother-in-law did a flat dive into the pool and was fine. My sister then jumped into the pool but it turned out to be toward the shallow end (unmarked) and she truly destroyed her knee. The hotel did have a wheelchair, so we were able to get her to her room. She went into shock and started vomiting and shaking (made worse by the lack of food). The hotel restaurant was supposed to open for dinner at 6PM but never did open. We spent the night at the hospital and though we had a reasonably good experience with the Brazilian healthcare system (on the advice of a Brazilian friend we had an uber take us to a private hospital in a very nice part of town). She got x-rays, a CT scan, and a consult with an orthopedic doctor all in about five exhausting hours of using a translation app. I really think the hotel was liable for all of this. They were not helpful in any way after the accident and seemed completely uncaring that this accident had happened in their pool.
