Perfect stay!

It was very close to the old town of Chania, close to supermarket, buses etc. The host had taken care of what ever a visitor would need for vacations, and the place was very comfortable -the bed, the toilettes, everything. I will definitely choose Irene Maisonettes again when I will visit Chania city. Thank you very much for everything.

Worth the money for the stay

There was loud alarm at the night. Parking your car came be challenging because of the bar outside the apartment building.

We would return there, the place was great and a good location

It was clean and comfortable with an excellent kitchen The staff were friendly and the price was great.

room: - comfortable, in a historic building with an interesting history - I had a room with a balcony, well equipped, there is an iron, many kitchen appliances - the room is cleaned every day, towels are changed, the bed is made, soap, snacks are added, etc. - the outside of the building is also very clean area: - the very center, about 300 meters to the old town, 10 minutes to the beach and many shops nearby - the area is very safe and quiet - the owner is helpful I liked everything very much.

Our plane was delayed by nearly 2 hours and we phoned the apartment owner on our arrival in Chania. He was already aware of the delay and waited at our apartment to greet us. This was past midnight so we were very grateful for his understanding and friendly greeting.

Only issue we had was that the staircase inside the apartment between the mezzanine bedroom and the bathroom had no handrail, so had to be careful in the middle of the night

Peaceful cozy place few steps from downtown

Irene Maisonettes is a cozy and clean place close to downtown you can reach in few minutes walking, however it’s location is just that little far away from the crowded area that your sleep is noiseless. Air conditioning keeps the bed floor cool enough during the night and also the balcony is a nice place to enjoy a coffee. Staff is super friendly and you can even get cleaning everyday for free. Great value!

The perfect place

This place was absolutely amazing. Cozy and really beautiful. It feels like home but with the service of a hotel. The location is perfect, 2 mins away from the bus station and really close to the city centre (there's also a private parking if you have a car) There's a lot of shops and restaurants around.

Very friendly, helpful host, easy communication both before and throughout our stay, comfortable beds, good facilities, including parking, great blackout shutters on windows, location close to old town, beautifully-presented building and rear parking area/yard. Spotlessly clean too. We had a great stay here.

Although comfortable and as per description, the apartment was a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos. Once we'd adjusted to this, though, we loved it. The apartment is within very easy walking distance of beautiful old Chania, but it is on a busy road which could be quite noisy at night. Nevertheless we loved our stay here and would happily return.

Superb

We needed a later check in (at 10 p.m.) due to the arrival of the plane, it was not a problem. The accommodation was rather simpler, the beds were very comfortable, everything was perfectly clean, everything necessary was available, suitable for a short stay. Very useful location and who needs it - also the possibility of parking. I definitely recommend staying here.

The room is small, with the kitchen located in a mezzanine (stairs access). The space is very well used, the kitchen is very well equipped. Large supermarket nearby. The availability of parking just near the entrance is very convenient. The old city and Venetian port is ~10+ min walk, Did not go to the beach, probably somewhat more by foot. The host, Michaelis, is very friendly and helpful, responded immediately to Whatsapp questions. The place is impeccably clean,

The bed is accessible from one side + feet side. Mattress deserved improvement. The room is very compact, the stairs to the kitchen are a bit steep, and there is a step at the entrance to the bathroom. Probably a limitation of a renovated old Turkish building. Having said that - we got used to it, and the stay was fine, certainly a great value for the price.

Wonderful short stay

Excellent apartments. On a small space, the hostess managed to place everything necessary and everything declared. It was nice to find delicious treats in the kitchen and the necessary little things in the bathroom. You have to climb a few stairs to the bedroom. Comfortable pillows and orthopedic mattress. Convenient location - everything is nearby: the bus station, the sea, the Old Town, a large Sklavenitis supermarket. Nearby every day they sell the freshest fish and seafood, which, if desired, will be immediately cooked for you for a few euros. By the way, the ban on frying fish in guest apartments is a common practice in other countries, for example, Montenegro.

I would like to have curtains in the shower so that the water would not splash on the floor, but this is not a reason to lower the overall score.

Excellent accommodation compared to price and location. Very suitable for a couple!

Very clean place, with everything needed for a good and cozy stay: a fully equipped kitchen, AC, hair-dryer, day-to-day room clean-up. The host was really nice and left us homemade banana bread which was really good. The accommodation it's really close to the city center and 2 steps away (literally) from a nice taverna.

The walls are a bit thin and you can easily hear everything from the neighbors (steps).

It is very well located near the city centre and the harbour, but at the same time is very quiet. I really liked the fact that we could park the car for free in their parking. I loved that they left oranges, chocolate croissants, water, etc (for free!) in the room for us.

Very kind host / owner. We were offered a full basket of goodies (food, tea, coffee, breakfast stuff, a box of biscuits, two chocolate croissants and raki, big bottle of water). Free parking on site. A kitchenette is also available, with two comfy armchairs and a table. Comfy bed, cleaning carried out daily, hairdryer available. Very central location, 20 minutes drive from the airport.

Heating (we visited in winter). Common issue in Crete : AC unit instead of a heater. Bathroom did smell of sewers somewhat.

Super central location with free parking. Quiet at night and slept well. Very good equipped bathroom with spa shower. Old traditional greek house which was very well renovated. Good usage of the small space and has everything you need and even more. Bathroom amenities, small gifts and lots of kitchen gadget. 😄👍
