A wonderful anniversary trip

We met in Brand 50 years ago and this was a celebration of that. Over the years we have travelled back to Brand and each time it has seemed to deteriorate with less hotels and facilities. We though were keen to go back for our special anniversary ten years after the last time we visited and what a surprise. The whole village has had a renaissance, many more hotels, restaurants and leisure opportunities. The hotel Sarotla was exceptional, large public spaces a wonderful restaurant with excellent food both at breakfast and evening meal. The staff in the restaurant were superb and very friendly. The room was good although it had that weird continental thing of when you creep in the bathroom at night quietly so not to disturb your partner if you put the light on you realise the wall between the bathroom and bedroom is glass. A bit strange. Lovely balcony overlooking the golf course and mountain and so, so quiet. Swimming pool was good if you managed to find a time when it was not full of children. It did have a non children time but this was when we were at dinner. All in all a good trip and we intend to return with our daughter, son in law and grandson as the whole area is so very child friendly.

Reception was also the call centre for bookings. I stood one day for over 10 minutes but the receptionist did not look up to see what I wanted. She was on the phone permanently. This left me feeling not appreciated as a hotel guest. I think if the hotel sorted this problem out it would be excellent. Due to this check in took a long time as the receptionist kept answering the phone whilst we were stood in front of her.

Being an experienced traveller I was very favorably surprised by the customer orientation of all staff members at the hotel and very specifically the reception team. They did an outstanding job in handling some of my, difficult, requests. great job!

Nice location and great spa.

Spa facilities were great - nobody else was using it!!! Breakfast was good at the wk end but became a bit more limited during the week.

Went out to walk my dog and couldn’t get back into the hotel - completely shut, no night porter, nobody answering the phone ....

Zum Frühstück könnte es einen 2. Kaffeeautomat gebrauchen - sehr guter Kaffee, manchmal musste mann nur ein bissl warten, nicht schlimm, so hat man mit den anderen Gästen etwas geredet 😉

Endroit spacieux et propre, le personnel était un autre petit soin, et quelques-uns, essayaient même de parler français! Merci pour ce beau séjour. Je recommande les yeux fermés. Nous sommes venus avec un chiot, et nous avons pu avoir un petit jardin.

Einfach alles, Ambiente, die Aufmerksamkeit des Personal, das Dinner schmeckte hervorragend die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet war für mich ausgezeichnet sie Zimmer schön und das Bett bequem. Auch im Spa Bereich gab es Family und Erwachsenen Bereich. 🫶🏻 schöne und bequeme Liegen. Diverse Saunen. Auch mit dem Hund gut möglich.

Schönes und sauberes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr schön und sauber, und das Personal war stets nett und hilfsbereit.

Leider gab es beim Frühstück keine Alternative zu Schweinefleisch, und auch auf Nachfrage wurde uns diesbezüglich nicht entgegengekommen. Außerdem fehlten im Zimmer sowohl ein Wasserkocher als auch eine Minibar – was man in dieser Hotelkategorie eigentlich erwarten würde. Hier besteht definitiv noch Verbesserungspotenzial.
