Hotel Senator München

Centrally located, but not directly at the main station (which is very chaotic). The room was huge and had and a nice sofa bed for my 4-year old, in addition to the large double bed. The bathroom was simple but also really spacious. Staff were friendly and breakfast was OK.

The double bed was actually two single beds put together, with separate bed sheets and no connection to fix it. So, there was an uncomfortable gap in between the comfortable mattresses.

The staff were kind.

Overall this was a fine stay. A solid 6 out of 10. Would likely not book here again as the amenities did not make it worth the price. Location: Located right next to the Oktoberfest grounds (5 minute walk). Accessible to public transportation. About 30-45 minute walk from the central city, so using the trams was essential. Overall was great! Staff: Most everyone was friendly and accommodating. We were able to leave our bags before check-in and after check-out before our travel day. John was particularly helpful. Overall clean and safe. No extra amenities or frills available outside of a small bar and 2-3 chairs. The free breakfast buffet was fine- cold cuts, breads, eggs, and good coffee.

NO WIFI CONNECTION in the rooms. We barely got a signal in the main area but as mentioned above, it wasn't really a place to hang out in. The 'king' room was just 2 twin beds pushed together that often separated during the night. Additionally, they only had twin-size blankets available that were the size of large beach towels. It was not sufficient for 2 people. There was no A/C (that we felt). Thank goodness we were there on cooler days, but we still had to keep the windows open, and it was still quite hot and stuffy. Very small detail: there was only 1 physical key for the rooms. no key card entry. So it was very easy for 1 person to get locked in the room if the other person left.
