The Castello is in a small very quiet village. All the staff were friendly. Swimming pool and surrounding facilities were excellent. We ate both nights in the restaurant which was exceptional on both occasions. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Air con was very welcome. Room and en suite were comfortable and pleasant (we booked the outside room).
Would have liked a kettle in the bedroom that's all. Oh and the shower runs hot and cold not keeping an even temperature.

Clean area, stunning view , beautiful castle - house , pure nature
A bit overpriced for the conditions offered, limited food menu

The castle itself is a remarkable setting — a beautifully and sensitively restored historic residence owned by the Masciarelli wine dynasty, one of Abruzzo's most respected producers. The renovation preserves the original character while adding every modern comfort. Rooms are spacious and elegantly appointed, each with minibar, Wi-Fi, and television. The views are exceptional — sweeping vistas across the Abruzzo hills. Reception was handled by Sharon, who speaks Portuguese — a particularly welcome and personal touch that made the welcome feel all the more natural and attentive. The wine tasting conducted by Pietro was an outstanding experience — knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely memorable. A highlight of the entire stay. Breakfast is very good— fresh, local, and unhurried. The bread, croissants, and homemade jams are exceptional. The swimming pool, surrounded by olive trees, is a beautiful and tranquil space — ideal for unwinding between excursions. A lift is available within the castle, making access to upper floors straightforward. The stairs are very uneven. Estate wines can be purchased directly on site at very reasonable prices.
The bathroom is open to the bedroom with no separate door or effective light barrier — turning on the bathroom light at night illuminates the entire room, making it impossible for one person to use it without disturbing the other. The bathroom basin has an unusual shape that causes water to splash outward when the tap is turned on, wetting the surrounding surfaces and anyone standing at the sink. A functional design issue that should be easy to address. There is no air conditioning in the room. In the warmer months this is a genuine limitation — particularly at night — and worth checking when booking. Anyway, the thick castle wall help! The television is very small for the size of the room — noticeably out of proportion with the space and the overall standard of the property. The minibar is very compact and does not produce ice. Ice must be requested at reception — a minor inconvenience, but one worth knowing about in advance. The car park is an 80-metre walk from reception, and no assistance with luggage is offered on arrival. Worth planning for if travelling with heavy cases. The gravel path at the entrance is uneven — take care on arrival, particularly in the dark or with wheeled luggage.

The location is beautiful.
The bathrooms had an issue with the water sink, so it was impossible to use without getting water in our clothes. The staff in the restaurant didn't know anything about the menu and were very inattentive
