I spent 3 wonderful nights at Altroiterhof in St. Wolfgang, and it was truly a perfect retreat. The room/apartment was spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean, but the real highlight was the panoramic view of the lake. Waking up each morning to the breathtaking landscape of Lake Wolfgangsee was an experience beyond words—calm, peaceful, and deeply relaxing for both the mind and soul. Sitting by the window and watching the changing colors of the lake and mountains instantly melted away all stress. The surroundings are quiet and serene, yet conveniently located to explore St. Wolfgang and nearby attractions. The hosts were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the stay feel genuinely personal. Altroiterhof is the perfect place for anyone seeking tranquility, natural beauty, and a true Austrian lakeside experience. I would happily return and highly recommend it to others.

The property is located on higher ground, so the walk up requires some care, especially in winter when the path can be icy. That said, nothing at all — the stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere more than make up for everything.

Best view of St.Wolfgang with a super cozy room.

Everything about this place was wonderful. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The view and location was immaculate. Possibly the best view of St.Wolfgang there is to book. Staff were very nice and helpful. All amenities we needed to cook were there.

The room is clean and tidy, with warm decor. The owner is super friendly and provides station pick-up and drop off services. He also recommended many fun options to us. The hotel is large and quiet, just a ten minute walk from the town below. Highly recommended, I will stay again next time!

The owner really take pride in both caring for the property and ensuring that guests have a relaxing and pleasant stay. The property is impeccably clean and well-cared for with fantastic amenities. The location is superb up above the lake with amazing views and a very short walk into town. It is idyllic! Highly recommend!!!

Nice location but staff/ owner with anger management

Location was great, many cute cows around, beautiful lake views and great breakfast

Staff was very fierce and aggressive. At 10.03am, as we were wearing our shoes, he barged into the room and started shouting at us for being late for checkout (3min late), he’s seem like nice guy most of the time but maybe need a bit of anger management. We were told it’s a family business and we really felt that they put their heart into running it well from how they checked in on us day to day and the effort they put in for the breakfast set ups, unfortunately, the last few minutes of our interaction ruined the experience

It is a beautiful location, amazing view, spotless clean, newly refurbished, comfortable apartment, short and pleasant walk down to the heart of the little town of St Wolfgang. Exceptional host with great hospitality and kindness.

A wonderful place to stay for relaxation

A great family hotel, amazing side, wonderful views. Quietness and peaceful atmosphere! The hosts are always trying to do their best for each guest. They even made us some tea upon our request the evening when we arrived.

As it was really cold and rainy these days, tea facilities in the room would be really great! And the pillows are so soft and small. Maybe you could add an extra set of pillows for those who are getting older.

Wonderful experience

Apartment is a little out of the city,in the nature but in the same time very close to wonderful St.Wolfgang. View from a balcony is amazing. You will have direct view on the lake. Surrounding is realy nice for walking, a lot of greenery around. Apartment is spacious and well equipped. Kitchen is also well equipped,I only missed dishwasher. House has interesting interior, you can see history of the family and house on the pictures on the wall. Very nice. Hosts are very kind and always available. We realy spent nice time there. If we have a chance we will glade to come again.

Beautiful and quiet place for holiday. Kind owners of the pension. Very well equiped apartment with a lot of space bringing comfort for you.

The only thing I would complain about are the pillows. I would replace the deformed synthetic fiber pillows with feather pillows.

A lovely stay with the best possible view

Absolutely stunning view of Wolfgangsee, and a lovely balcony area with seats and a table. We were lucky enough to have very sunny days and dramatic thunderstorms - an incredible sight from the hilltop. The apartment was spacious with a cute little kitchen and comfortable living area - just a 5 minute walk into town.

The soft, flat pillows, lack of air con and the fact that you can’t close the curtains of the ceiling window directly above the bed. We were staying in the older part of the building - Altroiterhof also have modern chalets which are probably more comfortable to sleep in.

住宿的体验非常好！我们来的季节是冬天，下午六点多到，比预定时间晚了几小时，房主小伙子一直在等待我们，热情的帮我们办理手续，还1⃣️个人拧着我们两个大行李箱带我们上三楼，所有细节都讲得很细致，包括小镇上的圣诞集市每天的的时间和开放路段。公寓式的房间，屋内设备也很齐全，阳台视野无敌好，住了三天都舍不得离开，回忆满满。我们在萨尔茨堡🈶一个停车罚单，当天太晚没有在邮局处理得了，到酒店后求助他们，房主1⃣️家人很及时帮我们处理了，办好后又把单据送给我告诉我不用担心，感觉很温暖。这次充分感受了冬天的奥地利湖区，下次夏天再来，一定还住这里。

شقق عائلية كل ماتحتاج موجود بالشقة .. العائلة المالكة جداً محترمين ومعاملتهم جداً رائعة ومحترمة وبالذات الأبن الأكبر .. موقع الشقق على اطلاله جبلية رائعة.. صادف وقت نزول الثلوج والمنظر كان راائع مع تساقط الثلوج والانعكاس مع البحيرة ..

الطريق الي الشقة مرتفع ونوعاً ما يحتاج الحذر لانه حاره واحدة وضيقة جداً ..

Ein erstklassiger Aufenthalt in Sankt Wolfgang.

Eine Woche Urlaub in Sankt Wolfgang. Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche im Altroiter Hof verbracht. Die ganze Familie ist sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer ist ordentlich und modern eingerichtet, die Betten haben sehr gute Matratzen und die Terrasse bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Stadt Sankt Wolfgang und den See. Das Frühstück ist köstlich und reichhaltig. Aber auch wenn einmal ein Problem auftritt, sind Vater und Sohn sofort zur Stelle. Als wir eine Panne mit unserem Auto hatten, bot die Familie sofort ihre Hilfe an, um das Problem zu lösen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Eigentlich nichts, aber ein Tipp: Eine Honesty Bar mit Getränken im Gemeinschaftsraum und eine Kaffeemaschine oder ein Wasserkocher im Zimmer wären ein Pluspunkt.
