Food and authenticity

The cabin was a little tight

Very friendly staff. They helped us fetch our car after a hike. Excellent breakfast and dinner, using local tastes. Great beer selection. Sauna. Interesting discussions with the owner about art. And ice hockey.

Room and property in general quite modest but super restaurant and a good sauna. And of course the mountains!

There could have been more fruit at breakfast

The location was good and food was amazing. If you informed in advance you could prepare packed lunches from the breakfast which was much appreciated. The little gear store was great in case you forgot to bring anything. The sauna was a great end to day.

We lived in the one of the double rooms in the main building. The walls were so thin we could hear people walk in the hallway and our neighbor snoring. Since the area is know for midnight hikes there was a lot of noises throughout the night when people came home. If you are light sleeper these rooms are not recommended. The rooms were also a bit like doorm rooms. The beds were not next to each other so it didn’t feel like a hotel per say. We also wished the sauna had a more flexible opening hour. It ran from 4pm-7pm which was tight if you came home from a long day hike and had dinner reservations.
