Unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Base was very disappointing. During our stay, our car was broken into while parked in front of the hotel, and several belongings were stolen.
When we reported the incident, the receptionist expressed regret and informed us that such incidents occur frequently, and that the local police rarely take effective action. What concerns us most is that the hotel staff did not warn us in advance, despite being aware of the recurring nature of these thefts. Only after the incident were we advised to use the hotel’s garage.
We believe the hotel should take greater responsibility by clearly informing guests about the risks and by actively engaging with local authorities to improve security in the area.
We strongly advise future guests who are travelling by car to avoid parking outside the hotel and to use secure parking options whenever possible.
