I had an incredible time at Mar-bella and hope to stay again in the future

The staff is extremely friendly (Manoiela , Lucia at the reception, Christina at Deck& Grill , Eva at the beach deserve standing ovation) and ready to help at all times, the facilities are top-notch very comfortable. The beach, the pool, the buffet and the a la carte restaurants, room (which was amazing as it had a sea and tree view and slept very well) were all amazing. Also loved the activities as part of all inclusive package i.e. snorkeling, sup, wine testing, olive oil tasting, complimentary boat tour to a sandy beach)

Few times beach staff removed the beach towels I was using in my sun-bed when I was swimming (they thought that I have left already though my bag was there) Some days or some a la carte restaurants may have longer working hours or few days they start late i.e. 08:00-22:00 /22:30 pm to allow guests enjoy the beach longer if possible

Overall a very lovely stay in Corfu

Rooms were lovely. It can be busy in August, but given the many different breakout spaces / areas it doesn't feel that crowded in the day. Food variety with dine out good. Service from staff is excellent.

Fresh water pool area, the kids favourite, can get very full and hard to get a sun lounger. Do opt for the seaside then. Very hilly, full of steps which I believe make it difficult for parents with buggies. Lifts very out of date, having to take stairs mostly.

Our stay was wonderful (we have been here before). All the services

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. Location is comfortable, we used to have breakfast at Terrazza restaurant in the main building, where we lived.

Sometimes it was not easy to find a place at the sea water pool as many people just occupy beds in advance and keep them for a long time. However, there were normally enough loungers at the beach.

We had a one bedroom suite which was modern and spacious

The food was awful in all restaurants and service is sub par. They say it’s a 5 star hotel but the quality of food is more like 2 star. Fruit was old or out of a can. The meat and vegetables was not fresh at all. They say they have 5 restaurants but you can’t book any of them as they are fully booked before you arrive. So you just have dinner in the buffet restaurant which was disgusting. I was so surprised as the reviews were so positive but I was very underwhelmed.

Would definitely recommend for families looking for a luxury hotel with lovely food and lovely drinks.

Lovely hotel. We went as a family of 4. We were in peak season so the main pool was very busy but we spent most time at the beach which my children loved. You could jump in to the crystal Clearwaters and fish off the pier. The food was lovely in all restaurants. We stayed for 10 nights and that included five different à la carte restaurants and a dine out experience in a local Taverna.

Not much to say about this. The only thing I would maybe say is that it was August and the main pool was very busy. But it is a family hotel so is what is to be expected.

Worse 3 star hotel ever (not a 5 star). Stay away

The sun

Poor accommodation eventhough I paid 2000€/ night. Private pool dirty, doors don't close properly, furniture outdated, Restaurant not serving after 21.30 because chef goes home. Staff unprofessional because seasonal so have no clue about service in 5 star hotel. Taxi reserved in advance, showed up 20 min late to go to airport. No staff available in early morning so you better be prepared to carry all your luggage by yourself. Conclusion: incompetent general manger running an incompetent staff. Just stay away.

Instagram vs reality

Beautiful view & stunning gardens. Variety of activities on offer daily for the kids. The aqua park was great fun.

The place seems a little run down overall and best described as organised chaos. It is a huge place with lots of people everywhere. The buffet is especially chaotic. We didn’t have a great first impression and had to follow up on most of our promised inclusions. We had extended our stay and there was epic confusion about it for the entire time, despite having the manager involved at times. Our room also had visible black mould in the bathroom. We don’t drink so can’t comment on the cocktails etc. the food was ok but nothing special. The marketing of this place is amazing which is why we chose to come here, but unfortunately it just doesn’t offer anything near what we expected. As it’s such a seasonal spot, most of the staff we encountered weren’t well experienced or particularly happy or friendly. We went on the boat trip to south Corfu which again - sounded amazing - but the place they took us for swimming was some kind of run down resort in the process of being demolished. We didn’t get to choose our restaurant bookings but got to try most besides Celeste. There are also LOTS of steps here to get around. Lots. We had to ask most days to have our coffee and milk replenished.

Great food, but the experience was marred by miscommunication and organizational issues.

The buffet for lunch and breakfast is very good.

Before our stay even began, the hotel flooded us with marketing emails and messages asking us to vote for them in awards. While this was already irritating, the real issue was that any important pre-arrival information was buried in the sea of promotional content. Upon check-in, we received no clear guidance on how the hotel operates—no information about booking activities, using the two complimentary dinner vouchers, or even a basic info sheet. We were left to figure things out on our own. After checking in, we rescheduled our two dinner vouchers along with another couple. The first rescheduling went smoothly, but the second one was mishandled. The hotel split our reservations—booking us in Restaurant A and our friends in Restaurant B. Despite calling reception for help, the issue wasn't resolved, and we ended up having to pay €80 for what should have been a complimentary dinner. When I went in person to the dining department, they acknowledged the mistake and apologized, but said there was nothing they could do. I couldn't help but feel that some of these miscommunications could have been avoided if the staff had a better grasp of English. Also, if you're traveling with a toddler, be aware that the kids’ room doesn’t allow parents to stay. You’re expected to leave your toddler with the staff, which might not be ideal for everyone.

Amazing stay for our family. We hired a care one day and got the local bus to Corfu town another.

The food , beach and facilities are 10 out of 10. The staff were excellent.

Only downside for us was that there were no hikes we could do in the hills above the property. If that was possible it would have been absolutly incredible.

Loved the beach, pools, restaurants, spa and rooms. We had rooms with hot tub and gorgeous porch area with an incredible view. Front desk helped getting transportation to Corfu Town.

I wish there were some shops at the resort to buy some gifts.

Overall the experience exceeded our expectations for an all-inclusive package in Europe,

Friendly & Professional Staff. Quiet & well located beach area. The food at the A la Carte Restaurants (breakfast. lunch & dinner) Quality of the wine choices and branded spirits. Choice of sunbathing areas and pools

The main restaurant was overly busy and staff under pressure. Quality & choice of food was not on the the same level as the other restaurants. One of the a la carte restaurants was closed for refurbishment Sauna and Steam room were not functioning.

The building is really nice, rooms are great.

The place was run down: 90% of chairs at main restaurant had broken tapestry, walls were chipping off, jacuzzi in the terrace looked ancient. Also common spaces were not very clean. Ice cream always ran out in the afternoon when kids wanted to have some. Glasses at the beach bar were always dirty. They list services and activities they no longer provide.

Beautiful hotel, a Durrell's experience in luxury

Beautiful hotel, grounds. Loved Ibiza style chilled beach bar sounds with Bali Beds looking out onto the water, charming! Loved the other end with the shallow water. Beautiful clear calm sea and warm enough to swim in. Food delicious every where and plenty of choice for us vegetarians. One of the pools was heated which everyone we enjoyed. Our kids enjoyed a few mornings at the Kids Club which was first class.

The kids could not enjoy the water slides, because the water was not heated and the kids pool ice cold! Also, the kids slides have permanent freezing cold shower jets everywhere from all angles, its not fun, more like cold water torture. There was a lot of looks and tutting at our little ones making noise both from some hotel staff and many guests. We did feel under a lot of pressure to try to keep them quiet. In the end, we found a lone spot at the far end of the beach where the little ones could be as noisy as they liked, the sea was shallow and in the end it was better because we got a real Durrell's experience

Amazing family holiday with Sun, Sea and Sand

Amazing family friendly resort with stunning sea and beach, delicious buffet breakfast and dinner all inclusive, lots of kids activities like balloons, face painting, Lego robotics etc. All communication with the hotel prior to and during our stay have been very good. I always get a reply very quickly. Reception has been very informative with all the kids activities booking. We had a beautiful room with private pool and sea view and we enjoyed the sunrise and sunset everyday. Thank you to Housekeeping for cleaning our rooms nicely daily and the sweets at turndown service. My 8 year old loves them! We love the variety of food at the main restaurant and they are yummy. It’s great that we don’t need to worry about where to go for meals everyday as it is inclusive. Both the boat trips the yacht cruise were fantastic especially the yacht cruise. Thank you to Evgenia and Anna who were so helpful with arranging our trip, always replying promptly. We used the Kids Club when we went onto the yacht trip which was wonderful. Poppy was so attentive and efficient to sort out our childcare outside of the Kids Club opening time. Aoife at the Kids Club was very friendly and my 2 year one enjoyed her day there so much that she said she wanted Aoife again the next day! Sadly we had to leave and check out. We also used the photography service and we were really pleased with the family photos…Beautiful memories we could take home to remember and cherish. All in all, It has been the best family holiday we have even had in a while.

It would have been perfect if the water in our private swimming pool and the water park are heated during October. It was quite cold.
