Nice location out of the centre of Le Contamines, close to the swimming lake and cable care Nice views from the common area Mario from front desk was very kind and helpful :)

- this is not a 4 star hotel amenities wise and service wise (some people at front desk had quite a 'f off' attitude when asked questions about wifi etc, which was rude and unprofessional) - the 'suite with terrace' that was supposed to have a view had no view at all and was overlooking trees behind which there was a street with cars - no light switch for hallway and bathroom, just movement sensors, so going to the bathroom at night you get blinded by the lights - the pool is shared with neighbouring chalets, and in the afternoon it is packed with kids of all ages splashing and screaming and jumping so it is not relaxing - sauna and jacuzzi can only be used thirty min a day by appointment - never had that in a spa hotel

Thoroughly enjoyable!

We got the Chef’s inspiration for dinner and chose not to know what it was. We received the best 4 course meal I’ve ever had in my life! We had just hiked from Chamonix and it was well worth the hike for the food alone. When we arrived we were able to book in to have the sauna and jacuzzi to ourselves which was very much welcome after a long day walking. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will be back!

Location

Breakfast - I do not like such an atmosphere during breakfast - one lady standing at the buffet (not helping, not smiling, not refilling) and only for watching people who take food. Second lady, whose role is to notice guest’s room number also was just standing and watching with serious face. Moreover, there are no plates at the buffet to take food at all. And it was on purpose! Only one small plate you can use is the one on the table. If you want eggs, ham, cheese, and sweets on the same breakfast - you have a problem. Also, the breakfast priced 20 EUR was very pure, not a hearty breakfast like convinced people at reception.

Comfortable place to stay in the middle of TMB

We, a group of 10 ppl with kids, had dinner at the hotel. The food was great. However we were charged incorrectly with extra items we didn’t order. Unfortunately we didn’t check the bill carefully until the next morning when we checked out. So we paid the full amount without arguing.

Great few days in quiet ski area with very friendly people.

Great breakfast and dinner. People were very friendly and helpful. People in area were very friendly as well and it was not a typical busy resort. At times we were the only ones skiing a run, which was very nice indeed.

Hotel is very well positioned for ski lifts and about a 15min walk to the middle of town. The bar & restaurant areas are very well furnished. Rooms are small with limited storage space but have been refurbished as well as possible given size limitations. There is a ski room with adequate storage but the boot warmers are ancient and don't work. The spa area is tiny and dark in a basement area and would not be considered a highlight if that is what you wanted. Overall I would consider this to be a 3 star hotel in terms of facilities but with a 4 star bar & restaurant, and great staff.
