Lots of character on top of comfortable and clean

Nice location out of the centre of Le Contamines, close to the swimming lake and cable care

Mario from front desk was very kind and helpful :)
- this is not a 4 star hotel amenities wise and service wise (some people at front desk had quite a 'f off' attitude when asked questions about wifi etc, which was rude and unprofessional)
- the 'suite with terrace' that was supposed to have a view had no view at all and was overlooking trees behind which there was a street with cars
- no light switch for hallway and bathroom, just movement sensors, so going to the bathroom at night you get blinded by the lights
- the pool is shared with neighbouring chalets, and in the afternoon it is packed with kids of all ages splashing and screaming and jumping so it is not relaxing
- sauna and jacuzzi can only be used thirty min a day by appointment - never had that in a spa hotel

Location to the ski lift was great.
Staff were not so friendly or accomodating. While they did have amenities like spa and sauna, it was always booked out, the time we were able to use it the spa smelt very unhygienic, additionally, the hot water was yellow.
