Hostal Nerjasol

The person who checked me in was very helpful and very friendly. They were able to provide advice whenever I queried them. The location is far enough out of town that it is a little quitter and it isn't too far from a small supermarket or from where the Coaches Drop Off/Pick Up between Malaga/Frigiliana/Granada. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have my own bathroom.

Unfortunately the other residents weren't as peaceful as I'd like including a quite annoying resident that likely accidentally left there phone after they left, and was constantly calling and buzzing it "via a find your phone" service. The front desk isn't 24 hour, so there wasn't much I could do about it after hours.

Rooms are renovated and have everything what you need. Including fridge. Its very clean, staff is helpful and kind. Roof top tarrace it’s nice option to relax. Its basic hotel for people who are just sleeping there but in this category they are absolutely top! High recommend!

For a quadruple room very small albeit two of us only.

Easy access to restaurants supermarkets, I felt the bed a little too hard for my comfort.

As the front door was locked, which they do at 1900 hours, the 2 telephone numbers rang out then Mariafe called us on another number requesting us to send a picture of our Passports as she couldn’t let us in, as she didn’t know who we were, we had booked in gave our names all she had to do was open the door remotely. I took the picture of the passports but unfortunately as there was no Wi-Fi, there was no way to send them, she called again on another number saying she didn’t have them,by this time it was nearly 2300 hours. A neighbour came to our assistance and she also tried, but Mariafe kept on talking and you couldn’t get to speak. Eventually she decided as she only lived 15 minutes away she would come and let us in, incidentally, WE had to assist another couple on the Wednesday night with the very same issue (locked door, lack of phone answering etc) so this requires to be looked at. Getting in touch with the property was extremely frustrating….phone calls went unanswered and emails would not go through. We also had issues with the return taxi - it didn’t actually arrive to take us back to Malaga airport on the Saturday morning (had to book another ourselves after booking and paying for a return via this website) we would return to Nerja - what we saw was beautiful - but would stay elsewhere unfortunately….
