Very friendly pub / hotel

I won’t go back, ok for a one night stay
Comfy bed, nice towels, and apart from one member of staff others were cheerful and welcoming

Would definitely return. Bar area really cosy and welcoming. Room basic but clean.
Great location and great food. We only had snacks, potato skins and jalapeño poppers, big portions and very tasty. Staff friendly and good value for money. Basic but clean. Breakfast was lovely and a really good price too.
Very cold in room when we arrived. We went out for the day so put on electric heater which was provided in room for when we returned. Radiators must be on timer as they were on when we arrived back at 9.30pm.

Great staff- very outdated hotel
Staff were lovely. Hotel is very very outdated in the rooms. The carpets etc and paintwork in hall are dingy and depressing. Water pressure poor and room was freezing despite central heating and additional radiator.breakfadt was adequate but flasks of hot water for tea were tepid.
The overall appearance of the living quarters. Place is very run down and you can see they are trying to do cosmetic cover ups but has a depressing 60,s vibe

Antarctica with good food
Staff were lovely, dinner in the bar and selection of drinks were fab. Room was clean, lots of towels
Room and corridors were freezing, shower had no hot water was informed night porters needed to run the hot water due to being an old building, tried to run a bath instead only enough hot water for couple of inches but was too cold in bathroom to tolerate, unable to wash hair. Rooms incredibly dated, significant evidence of damp, hole in wall behind kettle, no additional blankets. No charging sockets near bed, floor boards uneven by foot of the bed
