Hotel Ambasador - by Liburnia Hotels & Villas

We had a really good time at Hotel Ambasador and genuinely enjoyed our vacation. The pool area is wonderfully spacious, and having access to a private beach is a massive plus for this property. We also absolutely loved the breakfast. ​However, the dinner included in the Half Board package was a bit too simple compared to the rest of the hotel's standards. While there was a decent variety of both meat and fish, the dishes were frequently over-salted. Additionally, if you are staying for a full week and dining there every night, the menu feels quite repetitive and monotonous. ​Overall, it is a great hotel and we highly recommend it, but you might want to stick to just breakfast and explore other local options for dinner.

When we arrived at the hotel, the staff welcomed us and offered to find and park our car, which was a huge plus considering narrow and steep streets. The rooms are very clean, well-equipped, and smell amazing! Breakfast and dinner were excellent! The hotel has a swimming pool, a private beach, and provides towels. For me, the pool was a bit too warm, so the sea was a better option for cooling off. One downside is that the private beach is quite small, so it gets crowded quickly. It also doesn’t have a gradual entry into the sea—it gets deep right away, so it’s not the best option for young children. If you prefer a gradual entry into the sea, you can walk outside and around the hotel to reach the public beach. The coastal path is beautiful and becomes much less crowded as you walk towards Rijeka. Overall we were very satisfied with our experience, and it was definitely worth it! :)

The hotel is lovely and well-maintained. Although some parts of the interior feel a bit dated, everything was perfectly clean throughout our stay. The highlight was definitely the breakfast—it was fantastic with plenty of options. Dinner was also good and tasty, though slightly less impressive than breakfast. One minor annoyance was that the staff started clearing the buffet and tables a bit too early, even before the dinner service officially ended. The spa area is wonderful, very fragrant, and the saunas were properly heated. We also absolutely loved the gorgeous view from our room. However, there are a few downsides to consider: Crowding: The hotel felt a bit overcrowded. There were not enough sunbeds by the pool, and currently, there are none available on the beach. Parking: Finding a spot on the street is nearly impossible as everything is full. The hotel parking is available but quite expensive. Value: While I generally recommend this hotel, the price is a bit high considering these issues.
